~~Any song that is posted on AmiRight during the contest month (this year) is eligible.

~~To enter, reply to this thread with the url of your entry.

~~On the eighth day of the month, entries close and voting begins.

~~Vote by replying to voting thread with your five favorites in order:
Top choice gets 5 points, next gets 4 points and so on to 1 point for your fifth favourite.

~~You're not allowed to vote for your own song.

~~Once you've posted a vote, you're not allowed to change it.

~~Voting continues until the last day of the month ends.

~~Anyone who's participated in a SOTM contest past or present may vote.

~~By entering, you are agreeing to read and comment on all the other entries and vote.

~~Anyone who enters but does not both comment on all entries and vote by the end of the month is disqualified and may not participate next month.

~~When the new month begins, the first person to enter the next contest may copy this message and start the new entry thread with it.

~~Rule changes may be suggested by any participant in their entry post.  Changes are made only when a majority of that month's voters specify a "yes" vote along with their contest votes.

Well, It's my first entry and picking one song is like. . .pulling straws out of a hat. . .I would like to enter "Every Call I Make" as my official entry, leaving out my other two front runners Chubilicious & He Likes Guys

Every Call I Make
Available for Listen at
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=633166&songID=4818467
This, as I'm sure you know is the actual parody, not the original Every Breath You Take as performed by the Police, and the lyrics are at . . http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/thepolice106.shtml

Thank You,

Im gonna give this one ago.

Since I got so excited about Snakes On A Plane being released on DVD soon I decided to write a fitting parody.

Its called "Snakes On His Plane" and is based on "The Clash - Rock The Casbah"

I just KNEW Cat was gonna enter 'Fillings'...let's hope Red Ant can make sense of the entry!

December was my most original month in a while, thanks to the Parody Decathlon winding up. So I ended up having 2 non-Decathlon parodies this month. One Gorillaz parody, and one Justin Timberlake parody. I chose the one that had more votes and comments:

BrokenBack

And for what hopefully is the last time, it is NOT about gay cowboys! Sheesh!

And, as I'm so nice as usual, I'm gonna give y'all an mp3:

SexyBack mp3

If that doesn't work (I don't really trust emp3world), have this instead:

Youtube vid of SexyBack (ignore the intro)

Remember, the chorus bit goes 'Go 'head, be gone with it', and that's six syllables.

I've probably spent more time on the intro than the actual parody, but seeing it did get through uncensored it was worth it, and without further ado about that I'll present to you my external genitalia at work... ehhh, I mean ""Privates in Motion":

Oh, what the helm? This guy needs some more attention before he gets lost in the vault. Enjoy my first obnoxious, completed, addictive and brown-smelling parody since my return to the east coast. (I figured helm was better than whatever the censor would have put in and 'completed' is the only important adjective in that last sentance. Besides 'first'. And 'east'. And 'coast'. What's wrong with me? I need a sleeping aid.)

Max: you've REALLY got to make this decision yourself. Have the courage of your convictions and choose the one YOU think is best. Go with your gut instinct, go with the most voted one, go with the best comments...your choice. I'm glad I still have time to enter a parody for this contest.

This entry is another unconventional Christmas song. I had two Christmas songs and couldn't decide which one to enter, so I finally settled on:

You better Watch Out

Max, like Agrimorfee said, I'd go with your Duran Duran song. Kristof's comment also suggests entering that one. Judging them against each other, if it were me, I'd also go with the DD parody.  I need a definite answer by tomorrow afternoon at the latest as to which entry you want entered in SOTM.

I won't say one way or the other which to pick, I picked a song based on my comments though. . .I can't compare it to the other because for this I actually plan on attempting performance here at home for each entered parody. . .I won't do that for both of them, but which one you are most proud of.  The songs I'm able to perform best will get my highest votes.
