Subject: Song Of The Month Winners List (Jan 2004 - October 2008)
Written By: Stuart McArthur on 09/03/07 at 7:35 pm
The AmiRight Song of the Month Contest is held each month here in the Song Parodies Contest Forum. Entries are accepted the first seven days of each month, then voting begins and continues until the end of the month. If you're interested in participating, the most recent entry thread is located here.
This thread is dedicated to CLAUDE PREZ who created the SOTM concept and did all the work in compiling this list, in order that one day I, Stu, would inherit the updating job and ride shamelessly on Claude's coattails. 8)

Hey Steven, don't you think it's rather disengenuous of you to post your parodies in this particular thread? >:(
I'm all for self-promotion, but there's a certain amount of "netiquette" that should be observed by a noobie to any message board.
Ease off.

I say delete his post (and mine and Agri's in response) and make this a locked thread that can only be edited by Stu.
I've deleted his posts (as well the all the spammed comments yesterday). Some people are desperate for attention... I'll leave your and Aggy's comments up and this thread unlocked: Stu can't edit it if I lock it (he can lock it and unlock it if he wants or needs to do so).

I saw steven's posts and I karma'd Agrimorfee when I read his perfect response (imo)
I'm the only one who can modify the list, so that's the only restrictions required imo. I'm very happy for people to comment/post on this thread. If we get more 14yo newbies innocently getting things wrong, we can just get Jack to delete them, so I don't see any need for anything to be locked.

Hey Stuart,
Just so you know,
I'm up to Sept 2004 and of course I am including the actual votes of each person, the totals in my database may slightly disagree with the original final posts because of slight math errors that weren't caught, and do not affect the overall outcome of any given month (at least not the ones so far), but to be mathematically correct, I am posting the actual earned totals and the actual ranks if they are affected by those totals. . .but I don't think it's a common occurrence, I just know someone will bring it up later if I don't now when they see the site:)
Make that October 2004 also. . .the original total reflect 5 points more than the 22 votes that came in. . .Of course I do my own based on the actual votes since I enter them--the top 3 didn't move, but two out of three were over and 4th was shorted. . .that's ok, I just hope no podium finishes are altered by any of these.

Wild Card 2004 had some major math errors. . . but they are reflected in the database I'm building correctly--again top 3 unaffected like the other corrected months, I just hope those that had less points than originally calculated don't get too upset with me. . .Claude had a tendency to short himself points a lot in 04, but alas, 04 is done, onto 05 shortly.

The link for "Blindside On This Write" (February 2008) is incorrect.
