Song Of The Month Contest

~~Entries begin after the last parody update of the month.

~~Any song that is posted on AmiRight during the contest month (this year) is eligible.

~~To enter, reply to this thread with the url of your entry.

~~On the eighth day of the month, entries close and voting begins.

~~Vote by replying to voting thread with your five favorites in order:
Top choice gets 5 points, next gets 4 points and so on to 1 point for your fifth favourite.

~~You're not allowed to vote for your own song.

~~Once you've posted a vote, you're not allowed to change it.

~~Voting continues until the last day of the month ends.

~~Anyone who's participated in a SOTM contest past or present may vote.

~~By entering, you are agreeing to read and comment on all the other entries and vote.

~~Anyone who enters but does not both comment on all entries and vote before the end of the month is disqualified and may not participate next month, and the votes they gave are canceled.

~~When the new month begins, the first person to enter the next contest may copy this message and start the new entry thread with it.

~~Rule changes may be suggested by any participant in their entry post.  Changes are made only when a majority of that month's voters specify a "yes" vote along with their contest votes.

Always trying something new I don't see anything in the SOTM rules about entering with a song I haven't written myself but posted under my Amiright name with approval by the original author, who to remain the established image of good taste has to remain personally anonymous and hence worked out such a deal with yours truly who has nothing left to loose in that area. And besides it's almost fully explained in the parody intro anyway - so here goes:

Jason, that statement concerns me, you haven't even read the other parodies yet. . .I mean we all love Kristof's work but I don't think that any person--even Kristof--considers themselves 'pre-established winners', not trying to start anything, I just really think you should read and evaluate all parodies before coming to a conclusion on the winner.

Yes I know what you are saying, that comment I made was just a JOKE, pure and simple. Of course I will read the entries before I cast my votes. I do not automatically give out 5 votes just because Phil Alexander, Kristof, Red Ant or whoever has written them.
