(Of course any song from that time period counts not just these certain songs. So if you want to do something obscure be my guest).
Here are the few rules that this contest has...
1. Make sure that your song has something to do with the topic (That's why it's there for)
2. Make sure your song is from that half decade (If you don't know ask)
3. Make sure that you get it done in the time limit given (Which is two weeks from today)
4. Make sure to post it here when it's uploaded on Amiright
5. Have fun with it

I'm tempted to write a parody about cricket in return for all the baseball parodies I've had to read. Nothin' against you guys for writing baseball parodies, it's just that I can't enjoy them as much as I'd like to seeing as baseball barely exists over here. The trick'll be choosing an appropriate OS...how 'bout "Surfin' USA" into "Cricket Game Today"?

After reading Conqueror's idea for Cricket, I'm tempted to write a parody about grasshoppers. Or something like the Running Of The Bulls. I'll probably find some obscure sport that's popular in Denmark.

Y'all are so quick! I am pretty sure I know my angle and my OS...but for heaven's sake, it's not even close to done yet. I need to get back in practice...
AND....I chose a different OS and went a different direction this afternoon. Finished and submitted, with time to spare? So unlike me. I might like my original idea better, though...so I'm going to try to finish it, too. And then decide between them.
As if you all care. Haha. ;D

Christie just asked if I could extend this round of the contest for another 4 days and I said that I would. So now it's due on the 9th instead of the 5th.

No... I granted Christie Marie M and DJ Blaze an extension to finish there's by the 9th. THUS voting also begins on the 9th and will last until the 23rd

I got one! I'm doing "I Got You Babe" to "I Got Bruised Legs"
At first I was going to do "Bend Me, Shape Me" writing a song on Yoga and Pilates, until I found out that it was from 1967, so now I chose this one because this Decade pertains to 1960-1965, this is the only 1965 I can come up with which I could relate it to sports/exercise.
