So my computer crashed and there's no easy way to fix it. Unless I can get to the library or find a way to write song parodies on my phone or iPod I might not be able to participate much now. U2 is a pretty simple band to parody but I'm really hoping that the next artist you draw isn't a rapper

D'oh, I just got home from work, I spent most of the holiday season in the hospital, and this totally slipped my mind. . .I'll have to do one tomorrow and ask for a one day extension. . Honestly I spent Christmas in a hospital, and I was in there from the Thursday before that til afterwards. . .Best Christmas ever:)  Yeah. . .

I have not been home for more than 5 hours on any given day of the past week, There is a reason I've dropped out of everything else. . . if it's bothering you that much you could have posted it like you have in the past.  I think sometimes you forget this is a hobbie, not a job, and it feeling like a JOB is part of why I have lost so much interest in contests all together.  It's meant to be fun and get feedback, not be an obligation. . .and from this moment forward, I'm done, I'm sorry but I cannot fulfill this obligation any longer.  I pass the Artistry crown on to whomever wants to assume the ranks. . .

I'm done, I'm out, I already lost my Christmas in a fricking hospital due to a total breakdown that nearly killed me, not to mention my lover, and I spent New Years getting drunk to deal with my problems. . .I'm not doing it again.  I don't have time to host a competition anymore, and it's not fun anymore.  It's not fun writing to win instead of writing to write.  I mean no offense to anyone, but I officially and unequivocally retire from inthe00s competitions..  .they just aren't what they were when I started being part of them

I suddenly remember that a while ago you had some sort of computer kerfuffle and you had to re-do the Artistry artists and mentioned that some might be changed...so I'm guessing Donna Summer/Avril Lavigne replaced the very vague and nebulous Motown round, with the other being the final secret artist?

Well I am very sorry to upset you Dave but there is no need to drop out all together over my irritance but still it has been a week and when you assume the duty of host be it in song parody writing or really a leader of any hobby the responcibility falls on you. I understand that its a hobby and not a job but this is a competition and there are rules set in place that should be followed. I would have posted the threads myself but my computer has crashed so I can go online via my phone and it only allows me to do only the minimalist things. T-Cop can you take over as host for the remandier of this competition?
