I joined up in May of 1979. Fortunately my father, who'd been in for 23 years (Major) was with me at the recruiting office and made sure I had a guaranteed job/base before signing the papers. I was assigned to the now gone Lowery AFB in Denver but that base didn't offer my job....so in November I recieved an honorable discharge. I could've stayed in and taken "Data Entry"....still kicking myself :-\\

This is the Drive-in I went to as a kid. There were some great times there, with my family in the 60s, then as a teenager with my friends in the 70s. Unfortunately, it has closed down :(

My mom was a hair dresser, and I decided I wanted to like her, so while she was in the shower one day, I cut my hair. (I was about 4 or 5 also.) Boy was I proud! I called to her in the shower & she freaked out. She immediately fixed it & after that I don't remember my hair ever getting too long until I was old enough to take care of it myself... lol!

thanks Krissy...yes, they were a handsome couple (and still are)..but they look different now, especially my dad (this is the only time I have seen him w/o a beard and mustache...he has had both ever since I can remember)...and my mom has red hair now....I will have to search for a pic to compare.

She was a cheerleader, I believe, her Sophmore, Junior and Senior years. Their theme were the Ohlone Indians (Native Americans local to Fremont, CA), so that's why she has an Indian-like cheerleading outfit on. She still has that very same cheerleader outfit tucked in her hope chest :0)
