Written By: FussBudgetVanPelt on 06/01/02 at 03:37 a.m.

Hi all

QUIZ IS NOW COMPLETE - THANKS

You know the rules : Song title and artist please.....

And don't forget, we are in the 60's... :)

Banasy  1.  Not a trace of doubt in my mind (I'm A Believer - Monkees)

Banasy  2.  I ain't got no cigarettes (King Of The Road - Roger Miller)

Gambo  3.  A heart that's shattered (I'll Never Fall In Love Again - Dionne Warwick)

NUMBER 4 is still open - Banasy correctly identified "It's Not For Me To Say" by Johnny Mathis.  I say : "It's Not For Me To Say" that Banasy was incorrect, because she wasn't.  However, there is another song with this lyric....... :)

THEN : Gambo correctly identified "We may never meet again" by the Carpenters !  However, there is another song with this lyric....... :)

Gambo  4.  We may never meet again  (The Carnival Is Over - Seekers)

Crazydon  5.  The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky (The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore - Walker Brothers)

Crazydon  6.  I need you so, baby even though (Baby, Now That I've Found You - Foundations)

Banasy  7.  Before she gets to saying goodbye (Ticket To Ride - Beatles)

Gambo  8.  It doesn't matter where you go or what you do (I Only Wanna Be With You - Dusty Springfield)

CrazyD  9.  Just take the green from the grass and the blue from the sky up above (Colour My World - Petula Clark)

Banasy  10.  It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys (Little Honda - Beach Boys or Hondells)

CrazyD  11.  She smiles so nice like she wants to come with me aha (Come On Down To My Boat - Every Mother's Son)

Chris  12.  One fine day I wanna be the one to make you understand (Keep On Running - Spencer Davis Group)

Zella  13.  When I tatse your lips, ooh I start to shiver (A Groovy Kind Of Love - Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders)

Chris  14.  Play all my records, keep dancing all night (It's My Prty - Leslie Gore)

Banasy  15.  Just what the truth is, I can't say any more (Knights In White Satin - Moody Blues)

Hi Banasy

Boy, you created a real problem for me here.  It's all good news though, for you.

Firstly, numbers 1, 2, 7 & 15 were spot on as I had them.

# 10 I had as Little Honda but by the Hondells - however it's hard to argue against the Beach Boys having done it, and you did stay within the 60's - so - a winner !

#4 : "It's Not For Me To Say" by Johnny Mathis is not the song I was looking for, but once again it can't be argued with.

That'll teach me to pick more unique lyrics in future !

So I give you credit for that one but will also leave it open to see if anyone gets the one I was thinking of.  Who knows, there may be more !

#5--The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine (Anymore)--The Walker Brothers (originally recorded by Frankie Valli of the 4 Seasons but was not a hit for him; the Walker Brothers had the hit with it)

#6--Baby Now That I've Found You--The Foundations

#9 is "Colour My World" by Petula Clark (it was released in the States as "Color My World" but a lot of CD's released in America have given it the correct British spelling (or Aussie, as well).)

#11 is "Come On Down to My Boat" by Every Mother's Son.

# 3 - correct - give yourself extra credit - because I was thinking of Bobbie Gentry - and I could be confused - why should now be any different - but I think she was the 70's

# 4 - not the one I was looking for, but correct nonetheless - I shall give you an honourable mention !

# 8 - correct (with no other comment (except that one))
