Written By: mrgazpacho on 06/12/02 at 06:28 p.m.

"I feel like so many things in the children's culture are either candy or they are things that propel them towards being better kids. This record is very positive and is certainly not going to make any kid worse. But it's not particularly about education. I think it's about enjoying your imagination and letting your imagination run wild a little bit."

a) John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants
b) Shakira
c) Eminem
d) Hannah Spearitt of S Club 7

It couldn't be c, could it? So I'll guess d.

Uh, Lebeiw15. I hope you're not just guessing D because I said D. I'm about as dependable as a Yugo. ;)

No, J.C., I don't even think I read your guess before I posted.  I didnt think it was Eminem, I don't know who the dude in letter A is, and Shakira didn't sound right.  I like your crack about being as dependable as a Yugo, though.  ;D

The correct answer was John Flansburgh of They Might Be Giants.

Had you worried about Eminem for a moment, didn't I, J.C.?  ;) (Note to self: next time, make other choices more plausible  ::) )

I think MissInformation got the answer from the same place I got the question  :D

Flans was being interviewed about the band's latest album - a collection of songs for children  :) This interview can be found on Barnes And Noble's website somewhere...

They Might Be Giants are a Brooklyn-based duo who for more than a decade have entertained their fans with their Dial-a-Song service from their own answering machine, and have just won a Grammy for the theme song ("Boss Of Me") to the TV sitcom "Malcolm In The Middle".

Thanks for playing, all!  8)

Yep, you're right!  A friend who loves TMBG as much as I do e-mailed me a link to the interview.  I haven't bought this cd yet, but soon...
