#9 is "Baby I'm-a Want You" by Bread.  I used this on one of my 1970's quizzes, probably the one that was completed quickly.

Well firtsly, 7 all correct Zella - and well done for getting all three different artists on 'The First Cut' !  :)

I have to confess though - I couldn't name another R.Dean Taylor song if I tried, unless the flipside was Indiana Wants Me Part 2 !

Well I have to agree with FB, here; Keith Hampshire's version was the best one. I bought the 45 when it came out (1973).

Re: Indiana Wants Me; I wore the grooves on that record white form overplay! Dredging back deep into the recesses of my memory (and a deep dredge it is ::) ), I think the flip side is called "The Tower of St. James." It wasn't very good. He had a minor hit in England with "Gotta See Jane" but I've never heard it.

Now, can you name another song by Keith Hampshire? ;D

BTW, Fuss, you must be distracted too -- you credited me with "Night Moves" when it is correctly "Main Street." Touche! ;)

# 13 - the song title has 6 words - the last one is SUN, the word THE appears twice in the title - some of the song gets sung in Italian
