I'm sure he did, but I don't have any AOR, AC, Country, or R&B chart books, and his fan site is down right now.  

Apperently there is a question about his birthplace, VH1 and a Mike Clifford book I have say he was born in California, Billboard and Rolling stone say he was born in a Mississipi River State.

You could always use Copy and paste all though this might take a while, you could ask hairspray to move the last five posts to a new thread.
