Subject: Missing Persons Quiz - with hints

Written By: philbo_baggins on 07/04/02 at 03:34 a.m.

Some hints:
3. is by Weird Al.
6. is also by Weird Al, and the name is the eponymous hero originally by Prokoviev.  Even more of a clue: it wasn't the wolf!
9. is Alan Sherman, to the tune of "Pop Goes the Weasel" in his tune regarding a dislike for a type of insect
10. is Jake Thackray

All of these come from comic or parody songs (except for #6, which is a different sort of Weird Al send-up) - if you can name the song and performer then great - but otherwise, please fill in the missing person:

1. Bravely bold Sir Robin, rode forth from Camelot Taoist - from Monty Python and the Holy Grail

2. His name was Ernie, and he drove the fastest milkcart in the West Taoist - from Benny Hill's Ernie

3. I know Darth Vader's really got you annoyed
But remember if you kill him then you'll be unemployedBobo - From Yoda by Weird Al

4. Nellie the elephant packed her trunk Taoist

5. It's worse than that, he's dead Jim Taoist - from Star Trekkin by the Firm

6. ***** did not answer, for after all, it was a rhetorical question

7. Emmanuel Kant was a real pissant
Who was very rarely stable FBVP - from The Philosopher's Song by Monty Python

8. Ho, ho f***ing ho, what a crock of s**t
We all work for Santa Claus, we've had enough we quit Taoist - from Ho, Ho F***ing Ho by Kevin Bloody Wilson

9. Ringo is the one with the drums
The others all play with him
It shows you what a boy can become
Without a sense of rhythm Bobo - I Hate The Beatles by Alan Sherman

...and a tricky one to finish with:

10. She was naked, she was cast in bronze, in bronze
Standing in the lake amid corporation swans
He was millstone grit, he was Sir Robert WalpoleBobo - From The Statues by Jake Thackray

Enjoy

Phil

..if I'd continued the quote, you might have:
"Coz we do all the f***ing work while he stars in the show
Stick that reindeer up your a**e, Ho, Ho F***ing Ho!"

I'm more familiar with his other santa song (Where's me f**kin bike)!
Here's a test, try to find a KBW lyric that doesn't require ***s ;)

Oy ***** ***** you c**t
...more *s than letters!

to rise to the challenge...
'10" Long' would only require one word *'d (assuming the word "shit" is OK)
er..
'It Was Over' would only requre two (assuming "Come in me pants" is OK)

Amazing Grass - would "Shitfaced" need to be *d?
...hold on a sec, he says "I'm stoned, I'm wrecked, I'm f****d".  Damn.

Got it!  "Double-Decker Dog"... nope, there a c**t in there, too...

OK, I give up

Yes it is.  Isn't that another Beatles song?

No need for bumping, it's just that I don't get much time to check the boards at the weekends.

Yesterday was a hard day's night, the night before was something when Eleanor Rigby and I needed help to come together in the rain in Penny Lane, she said she said "I feel fine" so instead of no reply I said "I'll cry instead"...

Your starter for ten: how many Beatles' songs are listed above?
