Written By: Andrew on 08/26/02 at 05:54 p.m.

You guessed it... Rain will be part of the title of each song. Title and artist, please. Limit: 3  4(for now)eliminated... most are quite popular

These are entirely from memory. Let me know if I goofed.

5. Shining down like water Have You Ever Seem The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival - CeramicsFanatic
6. I went down Virginia Who'll Stop The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival - crazydon

20. When he's near me, I'll kiss him Walking In The Rain - Ronettes - Jaqui
Good luck and have fun! :)

HINTS
11. Member of a popular 60s quartet ... biggest solo hit in the USA, from the 70s
12. Big hit, big artist during the 60s... the band's name is unintentionally related to that of one of Graham Gouldman's bands...
13. Top 40 in the UK ... the 60s band shares its name with a band that was part of the Seattle scene
16. The other post-60s song still remaining... this guy is in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame several times

MORE HINTS
11. This could have also gone in my Names In Title quiz, but I used a song by the quartet mentioned in the first hint for this song instead.
12. The lead singer on most of the tracks went on to have two solo songs to chart: One shares its name with a big hit for Tom Jones a couple years later, the other was a big hit and theme song for a popular television series.
13. The Mighty KC was a member of the Seattle band mentioned in the first hint for this song.
16. Some would call this artist the Cream of the crop...

Just a quick note that I've added five more songs and allowing for one more while the quiz has an answer limit :)

I just couldn't be content with 15... the added five are still from memory and subject to goof-ups.

Just putting this one higher up so it doesn't get lost yet :) Two of the remaining are very well-known, so I figure I won't start hinting quite yet.

Also, as long as you're reading this, a quick note of thanks to all of you who have made this message board experience most pleasurable. It's always hard for me to break into an established setting with a group of people already friends with one another and strangers to me. I found everyone very welcoming and I appreciate it. To summarize:

You all rock!

Andrew !

As it turns out there is now a thread for this anyway, but I thought I would respond to this to say :

A) You are welcome

and

B) I found exactly the same response when i came along - I was overwhelmed by how accepting the existing members were of new members - I mad ea couple of goofs along the way, but no-one ever got mad, they just explained, people always answered questions if asked..

All in all, a good scene  :D
