Subject: Crazy Don's hello/goodbye quiz! (goodbye!)

QUIZ OVER--THANKS FOR PLAYING

Since I was shut out of Ceramics Fanatic's quiz of the same name (since none of the songs she gave were readily familiar to me), here's my version.  Each of the following lyric lines comes from a song that has either "hello" or "goodbye" or both in the title.

Kenny 1.  Do you hope to pluck this dusky jewel?
Hello, I Love You--The Doors

Jess 2.  You say why and I say I don't know
Hello Goodbye--The Beatles

Jess 3.  Tell me you'll love me for a million years
Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye--The Casinos
(Would have also accepted Neal McCoy.)

IG 4.  Both active in the FFA
Goodbye Earl--Dixie Chicks

Bobo 5.  But forever's gone away
It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday--Boyz II Men

IG 6.  It's so nice to have you back where you belong
Hello, Dolly!--Louis Armstrong

Gambo 7.  Now I'm not one that gets around
Hello Mary Lou--Rick Nelson

Bobo 8.  Love is never quite the same
Kiss Me Goodbye--Petula Clark

This quiz is now over.  Thank you very much.

I know #7 is "Hello Mary Lou" but I'm not sure who made it popular.  Was it Rick Nelson?

Coincidentally, I was singing the barbershop harmony version of this song just last night.  If you are interested in four part harmony, check out www.spebsqsa.org.
