Subject: City quiz....

Written By: Zella on 03/08/03 at 11:40 p.m.

Each song below has a city in the title. Some are US cities, others are international. To make it easier, the cities are all in alphabetical order, but this is not an 'alphabetical quiz' per se, since the song titles are not alphabetical; also many letters are repeated while others are not represented at all. One city is named twice.

IG 1. Passing the time with paradise people

CV 2. And I put my arm around her, 'cus I knew that she was lost.

VC 3. Filling out forms; standing in line

JE 4. Not much between despair and ecstasy

LY 5. Candlelight and Dubonnet on ice

CD 6. You can sell your paintings on the sidewalk

LY 7. In the land that's known as freedom how can such a thing be fair?

CF 8. In the land of the dollar bill

VC 9. Now I must hang up the phone

LY 10. I got some records from World War II

LY 11. She pulled out all she had and laid it on the counter showing

12. And us rebels got too many causes, but that's alright

JT  13. All of them women gonna make me teach 'em what they don't know how

MM 14. I'm gonna pack my clothes; leave at the break of dawn

LY  15. But no one loves me here anyway

ST 16. If I only had a dollar, for every song I've sung

SD 17. Down in Hollywood I couldn't find a friend

CD 18. Don't touch my bags if you please

HY 19. My uncle took the message and he wrote it on the wall

FB 20. We used to walk throught the park

VC 21. Ten thousand electric guitars were grooving real loud

DB 22. They sashay by...

LY  23. Nobody was calling me up for favors

24. Milk and honey days

LY  25. Sing another prairie tune

ST 26. She once was a true lover of mine

MM/JT 27. Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild

LY  28. Soon I shall see just how black was my night

DB 29. But they don't want me in the movies and nobody sings my songs

MM 30. Alone in the night as the daylight brings a cool empty silence

VC 31. And I need you more than want you and I want you for all time

That is correct, but it was already correctly identified by CrazyDon in March - note the initials "CD" in front of the number. I never print the answers to my quizzes so that others can do them later on their own just for fun. The ones already identified can be checked by reading the answers given in the separate posts. :)
