Written By: CeramicsFanatic on 04/04/03 at 04:29 p.m.

Correct on #21, Billy.  I'm confused by what you said regarding #19.  FussBudget answered it correctly.  All of my reference materials show it as "See Me, Feel Me" by The Who.

alright, lets get this straight...the song you are talking about is by the Who, the only problem is there is no song by that title...I believe you are thinking of the song of the album "Tommy"...on Tommy there are two songs that contain the lyrics "Right behind you I see the millions"...they are "Go to the mirror" and "We're not gonna take it"...in both songs that line is stated as well as the line "See me, feel me, touch me, heal me" (that line is also used in 2 other songs on the album)

Okay, then tell Joel Whitburn that all of his Billboard books which contain that song are wrong.  I've always known it as "See Me, Feel Me" and apparently so has FussBudget and all the lyrics sites that I checked out!  Are you telling me that we're all wrong?

That is very strange.  The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits is sitting right in front of me and it lists "See Me, Feel Me" (#12 in 1970) as being from Tommy.

Hee hee I am being fought over !  ;D

I think I see the problem here.  I am/was under the same impression as Ceramic - that is certainly how I think of the song as being titled.

I saw this thread at work so I thought I would check out my "The Story Of The Who" double album when I got home.

Under "We're Not Gonna Take It" is a notation that says :

(including the excerpt for the "Tommy" finale, 'See Me, Feel Me')

For what it is worth...I was wrrrr..... wr...... not quite right  :D

Regardless of whether it was part of a rock opera finale or not, it is still a song.  Call me stubborn, but I am going to believe what they say in The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits.  :)

I might have to owe you an appology...I just looked through my old 45's and found on the B side to "Overture from Tommy" there is a song called "See me feel me"...its not on the album, but there was a b side of it...its basicly the same thing as the end of "were not gonna take it"..but something still bothers me..if it was a B side, then how did it really hit the charts (yeah it happens, but not often)

here this is what I found out about it:

"See Me Feel Me is actually the last half of "We're Not Gonna Take It" (the last song on the album). The Woodstock album version of WNGTI only included the see me feel me part. When the Woodstock album came out, the record companies released a single entitled See Me Feel Me, which was simply the last half of WNGTI off of Tommy."

and that explains it...anyway, some other famous b sides that made it on the charts:
Strawberry Alarm clock's "Incents and Peppermints" was the B side to "The Birdman of Alcatraz" (I have this 45 too)
"Misty mountain hop" by Led Zeppelin was the B side to "Going to California"
Chubby checker's "The twist" was the B side to something

There are many many more..Im just not thinking of them
