If I remember correctly from watching this band's Behind the Music  :), one of the members of this band would perform this song by herself on stage at the end of their concerts.  The other band members would watch from the wings of the stage and hearing the song would bring tears to their eyes.  (Hopefully I remembered that right!)

Didn't Tony Orlando lose the rights to it or something?  I don't quite understand.  But I did, somehow, hear the song on an independent, local AM oldies station on Sunday evening.  It was one of the few times I've ever heard it.  I think for some legal reason it can't be played.  Someone else want to enlighten us?
