Hi karen...

...proof that I'm still living in ye dark ages - haven't got round to CD's in the car yet - still on 8-track carts!

Anyway...

I've seen some S&G at #14, therefore...

#11. Wednesday Morning 3am - Simon & Garfunkel
#21. You're A Pink Toothbrush - Max Bygraves

...nestling alongside U2, Bon Jovi and the Stranglers - that must be a helluva collection in there!

Correct on both Paul.  In my defence the Max Bygraves number is on a CD called Hello Children Everywhere and contains lots of 'classics' such as this.  I've included another one from it which is my daughters favourite song

Oh, no need for defence, karen...your daughter's got taste!

Just to prove how really sad I can get...

#20. Jake The Peg - Rolf Harris (who else?!)

...didn't manage to get this set, but have got Volumes 2 & 3 of the series - awesome!

How did I miss that one!? My dad used to perform this for me and my brother & sister using his raincoat and a broom handle. I've even attempted to repeat the performance for my own children but I forgot about the "cricket" verse...presumably "they didn't need a wicket".

I think its the second half of a verse and its goes something like

... when came the time for cricket
they used to roll my trousers up
and use me for the wicket.

The first bit is about three-legged races.
