The song's correct jaytee, and those artists have certainly recorded it. However in the theme of this quiz, I'm looking for another artist who had a hit with this song...

Both correct Indy, well done.
Madison got the number wrong and also quoted the wrong lyric against it so I was pretty confused by that....

Paul and CF - thanks for sharing once again your in depth knowledge of rock & pop trivia!

The only other other two artists I know that have covered this are Cat Stevens and Sheryl Crow ???  Someone else will have to get the artist. :-[

Somebody at work suggested that Cat Stevens used just his initials "CS" for #13. Is he correct? ???

Yeah, another thing I really shouldn't know... Normally I do decent things like listening to U2 or watching Star Trek or reading Hansard to laugh in amazement at all the stupid people that we voted for. I don't normally remember evil ginger '90s popstars that belong on reality TV shows.

#13. (Artist) P. P. Arnold

...who, despite being American, has spent most of her life here - an absolutely fine and underrated performer, she normally lurks in the background as a session vocalist, but occasionally pops up with a belter of a song on her own...

P. P.? Well, her first name is Patricia, if that's any help...

Not to my knowledge Indy...see above for Paul's correct answer. I believe PP Arnold is indeed American but her hits have been here in the UK, including her classic version of this song.

That's correct Lesley, but I thought it was Jay Z rather than Wyclef Jean? I could well be wrong on this, it was the only song I could remember by Mary J. Blige....

OK I just checked this out...Wyclef Jean it was, no wonder this took a long time to guess as I probably confused everyone with the Beyonce part of the hint!
