Subject: Short Oscar Quiz (More hints)

Written By: Indy Gent on 02/13/04 at 10:15 p.m.

In the history of the Oscars, there have been two ties in the Lead Acting catagories, one for Best Actor and one for Best Actress. Name the 4 actors and the movies that they won for..

Hints:1967
One of the actress won her fourth of five Oscars. The film was a period piece. Her late husband won two of his own and starred with the actress in many films. Hint #2: She was saluted on tonight's Oscar brodcast. The title of the movie has an both animal and a season in it
WOO The other one also won for Best Song years later. The movie was a biopic on a famed Vaudaville performer. Barbra Streisand, Funny Girl
The decade was the 60s.
1932
One of the Best Actor winners in this year is the uncle of the man who played Rockford's dad in the TV series, The Rockford Files. He won for a movie also starring a very young Jackie Cooper. It was a boxing film with "the" in the title. His first name is the same as the last name of Alabama Governor/Segregationalist George. The name of the film is another name for whomever wears weight class' title belt.
S_D The other winner is one of the few who can boast of winning for acting in a "horror" film (if he were still alive, of course. Frederic March-Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde
The decade was the 30s.

I believe the actresses were Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" and the actors were Sean Penn and Judge Reinhold from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". Also, best supporting actor was Ray Walston from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". Best picture of 1982 and best soundtrack was also "Fast Times At Ridgemont High".

The strange thing is there are no Oscar records to verify this information. :-/

But thanks for the info anyway, PS.
I will give you a hint that one of the Best Actress winners also won for Best Song in the 70s.

For the first queation:
All guesses
Barbara Striestand
Meryl Streep
Cary Grant
The horror film actor...since Vincent Price & Boris Karloff's names aren't months, I have no idea.
