Subject: Bobby's miscellaneous quiz (COMPLETELY FINISHED!)

Written By: Bobby on 05/31/04 at 4:25 pm

Guess the song from the hints given in exactly the same way you did in Indy Gent's quiz (song and artist please). This isn't going to be too technical as it is my first quiz creation. I don't think there is going to be any mistakes but if there are - I apologize in advance . . .  :)

Hints are in Green

1. I agree with the way you feel. CeramicsFanatic
2. This song is so brilliant, I really can't be bothered with it. Powerslave
This Boomtown Rat doesn't care at all.
3. Complete novices. Ladybug316
4. Could this be the last thing the Captain of the Mary Celeste said? Paul
Sailing to Hull, he didn't realise he was the last one left on the ship.
He was going in the direction that seemed the most attractive.

5. The owner of the local beach, perhaps. Karen/Paul
This owner would make your dreams come true.
These would be the cutest you've ever seen.

6. An indecisive greeting if ever I saw one. Paul
7. Wow! These nuns are pro-active! Jaytee
8. A tee-pee during a test explosion. Karen/Philbo
This explosion would be a hell raiser!
It may leave a sugary aftertaste.

9. That sheep is a right thug! Jaytee
10. Sheer Khan's paws. Bobo
11. Eros is so unintelligent. Indy Gent
12. 'I'll give directions' said the basset hound. Indy Gent
13. Very fortunate is Sirius. Paul
14. Merlin loved those arcade machines. Bobo
15. A religion for toxic brains. Paul
16. Trini Lopez's instrument got an upgrade in 1986. Paul
The man that sung this had the recognition of an angel.
17. Those percussion instruments sound so far away . . . Bobo
18. Attractively empty. Rio Rhodes
There's no point in asking for a clue. You'll get no reply.
19. Despite his loss, Napolean admired the weather. Paul
Well his loss gave ABBA something to sing about.
20. This tune makes perfect sense. Paul

I hope you enjoy it.  :)

6 isn't correct but I can certainly see why you chose this one!

Hi Bobby!

Is #1 "I Second That Emotion" by Smokey Robinson & The Miracles?

....and one more....

I think #6 is "Hello Goodbye" by  The Beatles.  :)

Hello Ceramics.

You are absolutely right about the first one. You are now the second person to guess the same answer for no 6 - I'm starting to think I should have used this answer now (honestly, you and Bobo are pretty close).  :)

I can see how you came to that conclusion, Fuss. It's not the answer.

Paul and Mandamoo, I've put a few clues up - I hope it's a little easier now.  :)

...and 'Mr Sandman' is by either (deep breath) Vaughan Monroe, Max Bygraves, Dickie Valentine, The Four Aces...but probably the most well-known (and the best version) is by The Chordettes...

And I think I can clear #4 up now...

I'll Sail This Ship Alone - Beautiful South

Well, that kept us all quiet for a while! Nice one for a first effort, Bobby...

Of course, well done Philbo. You could have gone for Damian as well back in 1989 but I'm glad you went for the original.  :D

Yep! I went for the well known one by The Chordettes, Paul and thank you for the last one (maybe the most cryptical of them all). 'I'll sail this ship alone' by Beautiful South.

Well done all for competing in my first quiz (and thank you Paul again for being so nice)  :).

WA-HAY! Done!
