2 for 2 -- #23 is a favorite of mine as well.

Since Bobo already got number 6, I can tell you that it was also covered by Billy Idol, which might be the version that is driving you maaaaaddddddd.  ;)

Where is "here"?  I think that perhaps both those songs charted fairly well here too, but they were only playing on the one alternative station in the area, which makes them at least semi-obscure.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, (ok, who remembers where those lyrics came from?)

You are quite correct -- I am not familiar with the Australian version, so I was looking for Robin Luke.  Nice catch!

I'm in Australia.  Don't get me wrong, I wasn't implying that they shouldn't have been included in your quiz. I added my comment to note that I liked both of those songs at the time. :)

Now, now - you two...!!

One more, which I deliberately left out first time around as I thought someone would have had it by now...

#14. 'Old Friends' - Simon & Garfunkel, which merges nicely into the haunting 'Bookends' piece...a big favourite of mine, see CF's S&G rating thread elsewhere...

lol -- we aren't fighting, Dad; really we're not  ;)

You got it -- I was kind of surprised myself that nobody got it before this, as I don't think that song was nearly as obscure as some of the others.  You know what they say, though -- it's only a hard question if you don't know the answer.
