Subject: Moody Blues Quiz # 1 *** MORE HINTS ADDED ***

Written By: Johnny_D on 09/28/04 at 3:07 pm

All right, you Moody Blues fans!  Here’s a quiz for YOU!

Each of the following hints refers to something contained within a different Moody Blues song.

However, two of the hints refer to the same Moody Blues song....all other hints refer to different unique songs.

Name the title of each song that goes with each hint.

I structured the hints so they don’t contain words found in the lyrics, so searching on Google won’t help, heh heh heh.....But.....Please feel free to use Google or anything else if you wish....that's OK.

Limit:  3 per person.

1. A revolving fireworks display.
HINT: Another lyric in this particular song is synonymous with "Looking to discover your mental tranquility"

2. Something you’d find in a Broadway theater. (there are 2 different answers I will accept for this hint)
HINT: It goes up, or opens-up, at the start of the show.

3. This satellite has the munchies.
HINT: It's made of "green cheese" and creates the ocean tides.

4. One of them is named Neptune.
HINT: Earth is also one of them.

5. A place where boats tie-up and dock.
HINT: It's a synonym for "wharf".

6. Kids do double-dutch with this.
HINT: A synonym would be "jumping-cord".

7. Email has replaced these for many people, and that’s why they were not intended to be delivered Nights In White Satin ("Letters I've written, never meaning to send") - Congratulations, Gaylon!

8. Sinus reflexes suffered by a certain type of insect.
HINT: One species of this insect is the Tiger Swallowtail....another is the Monarch.

9. The music of the ocean.
HINT: What you hear at the beach.

10. A small rodent making music with a flower.
HINT: Another lyric in this particular song is synonymous with "I am able to perceive them visually but to them I myself am invisible"

11. Finally, my harbor can be seen.
  HINT: What's a synonym for "harbor" ?

12. Burning this Terra Firma.  I'm Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band) ("and when you see a frightened person who is frightened by the people who are scorching this earth") - Congratulations, Gaylon!

13. Speak truthfully about your present emotions and observe that which is before your eyes.
HINT: Another lyric in this particular song is synonymous with "If thou were aware of that which is within me at present"

14. The issue isn’t the manner in which you verbally express yourself when you commit certain acts on my person.  Question ("It's not the way that you say it when you do those things to me") - Congratulations, Gaylon!

15. Places in which realms previously conquered and ruled by emperors have reverted to finely pulverized stone.
HINT: Another lyric in this particular song is synonymous with "Ring my portal's bell and make our point totals equivalent with your organs of vision"

#5 And The Tide Rushes In - Question of Balance...could be #11

#5 And The Tide Rushes In - Question of Balance...could be #11

Hmm, can you quote me a lyric from And The Tide Rushes In that backs-up your claim, Pat?  That's not the one I had in mind... I didn't consider "tide" to be where boats tie-up.

I should have clarified that I'm not looking for which album a song/hint comes from....I want the specific song's title.

#11 is not Question, nor is it And The Tide Rushes In .... unless I forgot a lyric that can be argued-for, in which case, I will gladly admit that I am wrong....but ya gotta convince me! ;)
