Subject: CF's Faves of 1977 (DONE!)

Written By: CeramicsFanatic on 01/29/05 at 2:51 pm

This is my last quiz for 1970's favorites.  After this I'll be doing one year from the 60's (1969) and then it's on to the 1980's.

Identify the songs and the artist(s) using the lyrics below as clues.

Please do not use Google or any other means for looking these up.  If I suspect you've been cheating, I will post the answer but not give you credit for it!

Limit: 3

1. "Where they play the right music"
ktelqueen (Dancing Queen - ABBA)

2. "Keeping me warm night and day"
ktelqueen (When I Need You - Leo Sayer)

3. "He knows he can't possess me"
Paul (Torn Between Two Lovers - Mary MacGregor)

4. "What we are is what we are"
Zella (You And Me - Alice Cooper)

5. "In a country where they turn back time"
Paul (Year Of The Cat - Al Stewart)

6. "And I nearly died from hospitality"
Gaylon (Couldn't Get It Right - Climax Blues Band)

7. "This feeling follows me wherever I go"
FB (You Make Loving Fun - Fleetwood Mac)

8. "We walked along St. Thomas Beach a million times"
mandamoo (I Like Dreamin' - Kenny Nolan)

9. "Once I rose above the noise and confusion"
RnRF (Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas)

10. "Like to start dreamin' about tomorrow today"
Zella (Heard It In A Love Song - Marshall Tucker Band)

11. "With a song I just wrote yesterday"
nally (After The Lovin' - Engelbert Humperdinck)

12. "You can take it seriously or take it somewhere else"
jaytee (Do You Wanna Make Love - Peter McCann)

13. "I tried to hide from your love lights"
mandamoo (Nobody Does It Better - Carly Simon)

14. "With a language we all understand"
gemini (Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder)

15. "Make it move, set this place on fire"

Hi Karen...I always enjoy these little trawls from years gone by (and I bet a lot of the other regulars do, too...)

Nice of you to keep us occupied...!
