Subject: The songs of 1987... WINNER: Indy

Written By: Doc Brown on 02/15/05 at 6:17 pm

Same rules as always, but be warned, I'm including two 'cover' tunes, so don't be misled and give the original artist. You'll only get half credit. I wonder if we'll need another tiebreaker!

1. "...while his eyes take a walk all over you."
Indy - Bruce Springsteen, "Tunnel Of Love"

2. "Didn't think I'd find a girl that I could not forget."
Indy - The Outfield, "Since You've Been Gone"

3. "They say we don't stand a chance."
whitewolf - Starship, "It's Not Over'Til It's Over"

4. "And watch how you play!"
jeni - Tiffany, "I Think We're Alone Now"

5. "...they're losing control by the hour."
CatWoman - Genesis, "Land Of Confusion"

6. "doesn't matter if it's day or night."
Indy - Richard Marx, "Don't Mean Nothing"

7. "she comes to me with sweet affection."
whitewolf - Huey Lewis & The News, "Doin'It All For My Baby"

8. "...a dance on a summer's day."
Indy(via personal message) - Steve Winwood, 'Valerie'

9. "They leave the west behind."
Indy - Billy Joel, "Back In The U.S.S.R." (Live in Leningrad)

10. "Broken glass, complete disaster."
whitewolf - Heart, "There's The Girl"

11. "I don't regret a single moment,"
mandamoo - George Michael & Aretha Franklin, "I Knew You Were Waiting"

12. "Got a few kids of my own,"
nally - John Cougar Mellencamp, "Cherry Bomb"

13. "...I'll make a path to the rainbow's end."
Bobby - Fleetwood Mac, "Seven Wonders"

14. "Another room without a view awaits downtown."
whitewolf - Bob Seger, "Shakedown"

15. "...hiding out from the rain under the carnival tent."
whitewolf - Bruce Hornsby & The Range, "Mandolin Rain"

Final Score: Bobby - 1, nally - 1 Indy - 6, jeni - 1, mandamoo - 1, whitewolf - 5, CatWoman - 1

Tiebreaker:"Captivate your mind!"
Indy - Buster Poindexter, "Hot Hot Hot" (Ay Que Rico!)

Well done, everyone!

Your Pal,
Doc

Nice work, guys! I should've known it would be wolf whod nail a tricky one like "There's The Girl". And Bobby, I don't think you've played on my quizzes before, but you were smart catching "Seven Wonders", it makes the radio so rarely today!
BTW, jeni & Indy, good work on the two 'covers', I thought they'd be tougher!

OK, there's 4 left, so after the next correct answer, all limits are off. Think hard now!

Doc

Nice going everyone! Now you have (more or less) 12 hours to figure out the last one. The first clue I gave didn't work, so I hope this one will give the site a bit more Traffic. I've got part 2 warming up in my word processor, and it'll probably be posted tomorrow, so let's get this one wrapped up!
