#15 is right, #23 is partially right (looking for duo actually), #28 is right and #29...title is right, wasn't looking for the Buzzcocks though (as that didn't make it over here). Can you think of another band who did this? :-\\

Nailed anothertwo, I don't know how I didn't see them before!
4. Elton John, "I'm Still Standing"
(But after all those martinis on the video shoot, barely!  ::))
17. Phil Collins, "In The Air Tonight"
An Amazon reviewer once called this the "Stairway To Heaven" of the 80's  :o, but I'm not sure of the connection.
Still ensconced!

I can work out what letter some of the songs must start with but not what the songs are.  Is number 30 a punctuation mark? (since I haven't deciphered the first few songs yet)

You're on the right track!  :) Once you've figured out what letters are missing, you will also find out that number 30 isn't a punctuation mark, because number 30 is actually WHAT THE LETTERS SAY read from 1 to 29. Can't give you bonus points so far; you'll have to come up with the correct answer. :-\\

Hi the FaultyDog, I'm recently back from holiday and found this quiz uncompleted:

#10 is "Embarrassment" by Madness
#16 is "Musclebound" by Spandau Ballet
#27 is "All Of My Heart" by ABC

In the "hangman" style I can see most of the words that the songs' initial letters spell out but I don't recognise the song title  :-\\.

I see it!!! "Stairway to Heaven" and "In the Air Tonight" both have vague lyrics and people played air guiter to "Stairway" and air drums to "In the Air Tonight" Also the songs are both instantly recognizable after about 1 second of sound.

Three correct answers there! I was just about to give up hope....
To help you along: the first letters don't spell a song title, but another lyrics line from yet another 80s UK song. I may have made it a bit too complicated... :-\\

Sorry to disappoint you, Doc. It's not Ronan Keating.(I'm trying to picture him doing this song - it's miles off his usual stuff! Would be fun!)
What I'm looking for is a popular 70s band, also having a few successes in the 80s (like this one) and even 90s.

Bingo! One of my favourite songs of the 80s. :)

#30 sounds like either Slade or Wizzard

Did Wizzard have a Christmas classic? :-\\ Could be, but not world wide anyway. So I'll take Slade for an answer - which is correct! ;)
Now for a song title....Something with confinement of young women... ::)

Played here nearly as much as the Slade one.

I've given the missing answers on numbers 2, 8, 9, 26 and 30. Are they really that obscure? I think not. ???

I'll have to work on something new now, I guess.... ::)
