You might be right about that. And that's where I went wong, assuming that that song would have charted in US in 1981 (when it was origianlly released & charted in Europe). So I went for the only song I knew from 1983, being (She's) Sexy and 17 (although I couldn't figure out how those lyrics would fit in... :-\\)

It was Sexy + 17 :)

I'll guess that #58 is "Into The Night" by Benny Mardones (I know it charted both years)... :)

Nice one, young Karen...I was thinking of UB40's 'Red Red Wine'...

From the clue...#44. is Roman Holliday - if you want to be pedantic, they actually had two British Top 40 hits...'Don't Try To Stop It' (obviously!) and 'Motormania' (which peaked at #40, so it counts!)

#59. - haven't a clue!

Motormania.  I always forget about that one.  Good tune, and the answer is indeed Roman Holliday :)

UB40 would have been a good guess.  That one was a two time top 40 hit on Billboard :)

Regardless of who answered the final question, Paul would still have been the winner, so I thought i'd go ahead and reveal the answer.

It's a band called Silver Condor.  They were one hit wonders that no one would probably ever recognize by face, which is why i made it worth 3 points  ;D

Since all good things come in three's ... stay tuned for The Ultim-80's Quiz - Part III  8)
