Subject: Time For Lyrics (Killed)

Written By: Windbreaker05 on 01/21/06 at 5:45 pm

Hi yet again!

Here's another lyrics quiz. Name the title and artist. The titles all contain the word "time" or a derivative thereof. Don't cheat. Enjoy!

Starting limit = 6 Limit removed, though not sure that'll help with no one reaching it anyway...

I think most of the remaining ones are quite "gettable," so I'm just adding some additional lyrics to see if memory is sparked. I'll add hints later if necessary.

I've added some hints.

The last few answers have been revealed. Thanks for playing!

Bah, making me research here. One moment...

Okay. It looks like Owen Paul is acceptable for #32, so all three of those are correct!

Since I still have three guesses left, I bet you were looking for Bette Midler as the artist on #32?  ;)

#13, which is "No Time" by the Guess Who, is the only one that comes to me now.

BTW, I did a "Time" lyrics quiz back in August.

That one is correct!

I don't imagine many of my quiz themes will be original... however, I'm guessing we didn't have a large area of overlap on our quizzes.

That particular song that I answered was on mine...as were a few others that have already been answered.

And I'm trying to compose another themed quiz with all the songs having a common word in their title. It won't be nearly as big as this one, I can tell you that.

Got 4 more:

24. "Long Time" Boston
28. "Too Much Time On My Hands" Styx <-- oh dear, that one wasn't on my "time" quiz!
37, "Time" Hootie and the Blowfish
42. "Closing Time" Semisonic

OK, I concede that Odyssey beat me to number 7. I really need to read the posts more carefully. That being the case, I will nominate No. 31 as being Out of Time by The Ramones/Rolling Stones/Dan McCafferty

Hello...

#12. 'Give Me Just A Little More Time' - Chairmen Of The Board
#14. 'Good Times' - Eric Burdon & The Animals
#18. 'Feels Like The First Time' - Foreigner

and

#27. 'I'll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time' - goes back a long way...The Andrews Sisters did a version in the 40s (but I think the song's even older than that!) We had a version by Rosemary June that charted and I think Tab Hunter had some success with it...other than that, I'm not sure!

So you didn't know Owen Paul did a (very successful) cover of My Favourite Waste Of Time, and you didn't know Boy George did an equally succesful cover of Everything I Own. Makes me wonder: where were you in the 80s? (Nah - only joking! ;))

One of these songs jumped out at me and a puzzling song it is.
#4...God Must have spent A Little More Time On You..
by 'N Sync but Alabama has the same song with a different title but
it doesn't contain the word time so it wouldn't fit the catagory.

Sorry... I try not to limit my knowledge to what was popular in the USA... but I can only expand so quickly! I've enjoyed finding this stuff out on the quizzes, though...

#36 is completely correct and #26 is the correct title, but it's not Roy

That should be Ray Charles.

Don't worry about it - we all have our preferences in music. And you just can't keep up with everything, can you? ;)

Ray Charles is correct!

Oh, seriously, I enjoy hearing new versions of songs I like... I already made a note to seek out the Owen Paul one when I can... but, yes, as you say, it's hard to track everything at once!
