If #22 is not Ann Peebles (whom I know to have recorded it originally), it's Eruption (who covered the song in 1978).

Did I actually stop with 1.5? I thought I went to limit. Oops!

Here's a hint on the Bonus Question.  It was the final American top 40 hit for a former member of The Guess Who

Burton Cummings, but it's not "Stand Tall" so I've no idea.

Not Burton Cummings no,  I'll give you another hint ... It was a hit in 1979

29 - The original version of this 1976 #1 hit from Canada didn't chart in America, but two re-recorded versions sung by two different singers did, both charting in the Top 90 on the Billboard Hot 100.  This song was also the first hit Bryan Adams would have on the Billboard Charts

Another one I've never actually heard, but that's a lovely description.

Roxy Roller - Sweeney Todd

You should give it a listen sometime.  It's one of the best Glam Rock songs of the 70's.  The Nick Gilder version was the best

23 - A 1978 US Top 40 hit ballad from a Canadian band with some type of rock in their name.  It was the only top 40 of two hits they had in America

I Will Still Be Loving You - Stonebolt?

I think I got another one (and a half, maybe)

#1: I think the title must be The Doctor, but I'm stumped on the artist. Pretty sure it never made it to Europe.

#8: Go West - Village People (now how come I missed that one before?)

Well, the word Doctor does appear in the song title, which also has a subtitle in brackets

Shouldn't I get a point for it then? (Not that it matters much) ;)

I forgot to give you the point.  I am often forgetful  :-[
