Boogie on down, Jason!

#8 Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have)? - Fine Young Cannibals
#13 Boogie Wonderland - Earth, Wind & Fire and The Emotions
#20 All together Now - The Farm (which I've heard being played over the PA system at some World Cup games!)
#29 Rhythm is a Dancer - Snap!

I just reallised that tomario already answered #20 so can I also add:

#3 is Hands Up Give Me Your Heart by Ottawan

I have an embarrassing story about this song. I once tried to translate the lyrics into French for an exchange student I was trying to chat up at the time this was in the charts. However, instead of saying give me your heart I managed to request another part of her anatomy, a part that she was in no way inclined to give me!  :-[  :-[

Hi Jason! Nice quiz you got there! :)

I'll take some of the more recent ones (I guess you put them in there for me anyway... ::))

#5: Carnaval De Paris - Dario G
#38: Stay - Sash feat. La Trec
#40: Red Alert - Basement Jaxx

and one from the 1980s that's probably not known to anyone else:

#25: Baila Bolero - Fun Fun

There are some others that sound very familiar, but I can't place them right now... :-\\

Hi Jason...

#7. 'Let's All Chant' - Michael Zager Band
#9. 'Gotta Go Home' - Boney M (proved to be their last British hit of any note, barring a 'dodgy' megamix!)
#14. 'Shine A Little Love' - ELO (not what you'd call a favourite group of the 'disco' crowd, but this was (I think) their first song to be released on a 12" single...)

...and I'll clear up the two 'halves'...

#17. was actuallly titled 'Do It Again/Billie Jean', a merger of the two songs by Clubhouse

Bonus #2. is, as Maria says, Wham's 'Ray Of Sunshine', but it was also sandwiched between two other tracks from their first LP and passed off as 'The Club Fantastic Megamix'...

Apparently, the lads (GM in particular) were not happy with this release and refused to promote it...

Whilst I admittedly am no expert in French, I think I've got this one sussed!

Nice one Graham...no harm in trying the 'direct' approach!

#30 is German and #21 is British :)

Here's a little hint.  #21 features guest vocals from a legendary actor

02 | This was a hit in 1983.  The music video for it appears somewhere in my 80s Music Video thread

That may be true, but it doesn't help me much.

06 | A BIG UK hit for a band with a cross-dressing lead singer with big lips

Sounds like Dead Or Alive, but it's not one of their songs I know.

10 | This track samples the bass line from a popular 1987 hit from a legendary Irish rock band and is credited as one of their hits

Take Me To The Clouds Above - LMC feat U2

12 | A BIG UK hit in 2003.  The song contains a colour

Sorry - another blank (pun not intended).

16 | I beg your pardon, but this song appears on their debut album.  Abra-cadabra ... poof the song magically appears

Probably some Kon Kan song that I'm not familiar with.

21 | A dance hit from a popular UK dance group.  A legendary british actor provides a voice track in this song

Sounds like The Prodigy... :-\\

27 | A popular late 70s disco hit.  Reached the Top 40 in the USA

Don't think I've ever heard this tune before.

30 | An instrumental dance hit.  Can be heard in the 2002 film "The Tuxedo"

Still no closer...

36 | A 2004 hit from an Australian babe

Is it Kylie? Can't think of a title...

Bonus 01 | An international single from a Sweedish Playboy Playmate

It's Swedish, with one e. ;) And no, I don't know the answer.

A correct answer :)

It is Kon Kan yes :)

Sounds like The Prodigy... :-\\

Not the Prodigy no.  I'll give you a clue.  This group had a MASSIVE hit with a cover of a Bee Gees song

Is it Kylie? Can't think of a title...

It's not Kylie, but you're on the right track ;)

It's Swedish, with one e. ;) And no, I don't know the answer.

LOL I never know how to spell that word ;D
I think the Bonus01 might have been a little too challenging.  More clues .. She is blonde, ans has appeared as a supporting character in several goofy comedy films that no one has probably heard of ;D

She was Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1997
