Perhaps...but I gotta listen to 'em first. After all, this is an audio quiz!

Correct answer Jeff :)

Not sure for the rest of the world, but in the UK and Canada, it was a Top 40 hit in early 1981.  In America, it wasn't a hit until 1986, where it stalled at #91 on Billboard :(

28 | Never Be The Same - Christopher Cross

That gives you 3 for 3 Beth :)

Hi Jason, excellent quiz as always!

Here's my three guesses:

#5  This Little Girl Is Mine - Gary "U.S." Bonds
#14 Tempted - Squeeze
#21 Looking For Clues - Robert Palmer

I know I've reached my limit now so all I will say about #22 is.....you should be ashamed of yourself ;) !

Here's my three answers:

#1: A Woman Needs Love (Just Like You Do) - Ray Parker Jr. & Raydio
#10: Hold On Tight - E.L.O.
#22: Shaddap You Face - Joe Dolce

...what? You were expecting me to answer #24?  That's gonna be hard (if not impossible) for reasons I cannot reveal right now.

I do know what's next in the medley, though: I Get Around. No bonus points for that, I guess... :-\\

Hi Jason...fine stuff as always...

#3. 'The Night Owls' - Little River Band
#7. 'Since I Don't Have You' - Don McLean
#24. 'The Beach Boys Medley' - Beach Boys
(A decidedly difficult thing to obtain for my collection that was! There's hardly any BB CD's that include it!)

Did the Medley ever make it on to CD?  I only knew it as a single release only

As far as I'm aware, only in Japan (of all places!)

I was fortunate enough to 'obtain' it slightly (ahem!) illegally!

Japan always gets the good stuff  :\'(

The Beach Boys Medley is one of the hardest to find mp3s ever.  I was able to aquire it illegally also LOL  On another board I used to belong to, I was reffered to this guy who claimed to have an mp3 of every Hot 100 hit that charted in America in the 80s (over 4100 songs).  It was the real deal, so for free, he sent me the complete 28 CD-R set :o

I didn't know what the song was called, though I'm sure I've heard it before.

#9 sounds like Cliff Richard to me.  Is it A Little In Love? ???

And I'm pretty sure #17 is Jon Anderson. I'ma take a stab in the dark and go for The Friends Of Mr. Cairo by Jon & Vangelis (don't even know if that was 1981...) :-\\

btw: did you use #26 before in one of your quizzes? Not that it matters much - I've forgotten the answer. ;D

#9 is Cliff Richard, but wrong title

You are correct in #17
Friends of Mr. Cairo was their only chart single over here.  It spent 5 weeks at #1

I have used #26 before in a previous quiz.  No one got it then either ;D
