Holiday was alright, but could've been better. I still have to write that full report... :-Dame Judy Collins..? ???) is singing 'Don't you love us?' (sp?)

Anyway - another four down. :)

#30 It's Been Awhile - Staind
#36 Ana Ng - They Might Be Giants

Taking that you meant to type #32, those two are correct. ;) #36 isn't anything like TMBG...

13 | Drivin' My Life Away - Eddie Rabbitt

22 | Turn it Up/Fire it Up - Busta Rhymes (I only know this one because it appears on a UK CD compilation I have, but I can't remember which one.  I may have to pull my boxes of CDs out and find it cause now I wanna listen lol)

Trouble with this kinda songs is there's like a zillion remixes available, so it's hard finding the right version.

25 | Hello Again - The Cars
33 | Broken Land - The Adventures

Those four are spot-on, Jason. :)

Holiday was alright, but could've been better. I still have to write that full report... :-I don't know the lyrics by heart, but I think Judy Collins (or is it Dame Judy Collins..? ???) is singing 'Don't you love us?' (sp?)

According to Sondheim, it's 'don't you love farce?' (and as he wrote it, who am I to disagree?)

Ms Collins would no doubt love to de a 'Dame', but as she's American, that won't happen...perhaps you're thinking of Dame Judy Dench, whose singing is not quite as good as Ms Collins'... ;)

(Apologies...'waffling' again!)

Theme?

No idea as yet!  :D

2.5 more points for you Paul. :) I threw in the "live" version for a change, to make it a little harder.

In 1987, "Alone Again Or" was covered by The Damned, as you already know. It was to be their last Top 40 hit, peaking at #27 if I'm correct.
The original version didn't even make it to UK Top 40.

I will guess that #9 is Unknown Soldier

Altho' the snippet sounds like something off of "American Prayer" (featuring a very dead Jim Morrison back by a live Door or two ::) )

#38 is very familiar, but I can't place the title.

Okay I'm back - I'm gonna guess "Witch Queen of New Orleans" by Redbone

#10 - Yep - that's whiney ole Rick Wakeman. Dunno what he's singing. I once had a picture of him up on a dart board in my basement tho'...  8)

It truly is "The Unknown Soldier"... so half a point for getting the title. :)

That's not a bad guess at all, but it's neither the song nor the artist I'm looking for. If it's any help: the lead singer shares his last name with CSI character Nick.

Technically, that would be one third, as I already mentioned it is a duet and I also need a title. But I don't think the female half of the duo (Athena Cage) got any credit so I'm gonna give you half a point. :)
