Subject: 1971 / 1991 [answers revealed]

Written By: whistledog on 10/20/06 at 12:42 pm

In what is my biggest quiz to date, I am proud to present to you 110 smash hits, and for the first time ever, I have compiled songs based completely on Top 40 Singles and Airplay Charts in Canada.  And as usual, most of the songs I chose were also popular in the US and/or the UK.  In my quizzes, there is always something for everyone!

So without further adieu, please select your destination ...

I know more than eight songs in the 1991 section (some of which haven't even been taken yet!).

#8: "Do The Bartman" | The Simpsons!
#17 "Here I Am (Come & Take Me) | UB40
#18 "Sadness Part 1" | Enigma
#27 "One More Try" | Timmy T
#29 "Touch Me (All Night Long)" | Cathy Dennis (incidentally, I didn't find her other big hit from that year) :-\\
#30 "Life Is A Highway" | Tom Cochrane
#46 "Crazy" | Seal
#50 "Walking In Memphis" | Marc Cohn

I can listen to the clips in the 1971 section, but I can't answer any, since I've used up my overall limit now. :-\\

I was actually deciding which Cathy Dennis hit to use cause originally I only wanted to use 1 song from each artist.  She had lots of hits, so she may appear again in further 90s quizzes ;)
