....as a re-release after Carl Carlton's version went to #6.  However, Doc didn't give me points for either of those answers, so it must be wrong.  Rufus & Chaka Khan had a song of the same name, so I'm hoping that's what he was looking for.

Howard Jones also did a song called "Everlasting love", I think the video had two mummies (looking for one another) running around in it


And Andy Gibb also did a song called Everlasting Love (I just saw it on his greatest hits cd).  Apparently it's a popular song title.
