Subject: M is for...Menagerie [Finished! - much to my own surprise]

Written By: Henk on 03/02/07 at 1:33 pm

Moo! and Miaow!  :D Time for a trip to the animal kingdom!
All song titles or artists contain (an) animal(s)

Unfortunately, FileCabin is no longer working for my quizzes, so I had to use another host.
This means the uploading is a lot slower than you've gotten used to,
and it also means I'm back to the "Old Skool" wma-file type quiz (individual links instead of mp3's)
I hope this is just temporary... :-\\

In the meantime...Let's make the best of it!  :)
Limit is off now.

Good luck! 8)

# 6  Is it Four Non-Blondes, by any chance ?  Sounds like her (their) voice...

# 11  Antmusic - Adam & The Ants

# 21  Runaway Boys - The Stray Cats

Oops. I actually did mean #24, which makes things worse, 'cause Bono's voice is rather distinct.

For #23 I had "R.E.M.?" down in my notes, but I'm guessing they're wrong now too.

It's not R.E.M. either. It's one of two songs in this quiz (the other one being #29) that you either know or don't know . Even when the answers are revealed it probably won't ring any bells.

I just noticed this comment. You are correct on that. It actually got a bunch of airplay on mainstream radio (it made it to #10 on the national airplay chart and #1 on the adult contemporary chart) but because the single was released exclusively to Christian bookstores and not general record shops, it wasn't allowed to make the main national chart, leaving the door open for a country cover version by The Raybon Brothers to rack up decent sales and become a fairly big hit.

Essential viewing for a kiddie of my age...I was far too young to appreciate Python's humour, so The Goodies' slapstick filled the gap!

In actual fact, before they were famous, various members of the Goodies and the Pythons did work together...

Right (again)! 8)

Which leaves us with only two unanswered: #23 and #29. I kinda expected this to happen, though you never know...
Here's some hints on the band names: #23 is a company of persons, trained to sing together. And #29 are long, snake-like fish. Very slippery. ::)
