Need to speed things up a bit...so here's letters J, M, N and O revisited.

You know the drill...and please don't cheat. ;)

Limit = 10. Good luck and enjoy! :)

Hints!
J52. Artists are best known for their rehash of a 'fizzy' song. This song made little to no impact on charts. Maybe just as well they're leaving.
J54. Raise the corners of your mouth, please. Again, this song had little impact on the charts.
J57. You don't need hints for this one! It's an international smash hit.
J62. Another one that at least one of you oughta know. It's Dutch.
J65. This song got stuck at #19 in UK. Very appropriate for this artist (Paul Hardcastle)...
J66. You really need hints for this...? My shirt, New York and Milan have nothing on me.

M41. The band is a spin-off of Sisters of Mercy. Song title features a small winged insect that most of us welcome in their garden.
M45. It's okay to bend it, as long as you save me. Better be careful where you tread, though. There might be a serpent in your lawn.

N55. Italian dance act with a song that made #7 in UK. Time to go forward, darling.
N58. Walking down money lane without rasing your feet properly..?
N59. Not a hit in US, but it made #11 in UK. The singer (known simply by his 3-letter first name) hails from Cameroon, and the song is written
and produced by Michel Sanchez (Deep Forest). I've no idea what it is about, though.

O48. Flames are rising for this US #1. Other songs by this band include Pleasure, Skin Tight and Love Rollercoaster.
O49. Originally a minor hit in 1972, this song gained new attention in the late 1980's when it was used as a sample in various other songs
(including "It Takes Two" by Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, and "Alright" by Janet Jackson). Singer hails from Abilene and died in 2005.
O53. This tune only made #36 in US and did not make UK Top 40. It's about a demonic firearm.
The American band (lead singer Cornelius Brown) also was a OHW in US.
O55. An American singer who's been in and out of US charts since 1967. You might remember "Keep It In The Family" and "I Want'a Do Something Freaky To You".
This tune, however, only made #49 in US, but faired better in UK (#12).
O58. Italo-disco from 1984. No person in particular (calling a young woman), by recording device or tape for television.
O59. The last chart entry ever for this singer (nicknamed Blue) who's been around since the mid-1950's. Not sure if you're invited to his club.
O60. Singer who shares her last name with (fellow singers) Deniece, Robbie and Andy. Her love is so raw...but what exactly were you dreaming about?

M46 Three Little Pigs- Green Jello

M47 Hungry Like a wolf- Duran Duran?\
M48 So Happy Together- The Turtles

Four correct answers, Q.  :)

so m has something to do with animals right?

That's right. Menagerie = Collection of wild animals in captivity, esp for a travelling circus, according to my dictionary.

For the record I know N46 and O56 too...

Henk should let me answer them since I usually suck at the quizzes  ;D

Well, I'd gladly let you...but that wouldn't be entirely fair to other participants.

This one is harder Henk. Glad I got here for some of the easier tunes (having said that...I'd better get them correct).

Harder...? ??? I thought it would be easier than the Instrumentals quiz! :-\\

...although I did struggle to find some more "J" songs.

M50   The Show Must Go On - Leo Sayer
N46    Wonderful World - Sam Cooke
N47    World - Bee Gees
N50    Lay Back In The Arms of Someone - Smokie

That's 3.5 correct answers, Peter. M50 = correct song, wrong artist. Doesn't fit the menagerie, does it? ;)

J53. I'm Happy Just To Dance With You ~ The Beatles
M49. The Chicken Song ~ Spitting Image
N48 .Conquest Of Paradise ~ Vangelis (from the film 1492)
O46. Patches ~ Clarence Carter

And that's 4 points for you too, Philip. :)

Another great quiz Henk :)

Thanks Jason. :)

J56 - Don't You Just Know It - Amazulu
J58 - Just A Shadow - Big Country
N49 - Hey You (Rocksteady Crew) - The Rocksteady Crew
047 - Dancing in the Moonlight - Toploader

You got the brackets mixed up on N49. :P

But that's okay, I do the same thing all the time! ;D :D
So you got four for four. 8)

Hi Amanda, and thank you. :)

J59  Never, Never Gonna Give You Up - Barry White

Right artist, wrong song. (I don't blame you - all his songs sound much alike)

J63  Just One Look - Hollies

100% correct.

N51 We Belong to the Night - Ellen Foley - great voice  :P

Holland seems to be about the only country that liked Ellen Foley, for whatever reason.

N54 I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick - love this version!!!

Wait...there are other versions? :o

No surprises there...all four are correct. But since Amanda already got the right artist for J59, I can only give you 3.5 points.

N60 is Buffalo Stance - Nene Cherry

Those two are correct.

O49 is It Takes Two - I don't know if this is the Rob Base Version  :-\\

I'm afraid it isn't, though the O49 song has been sampled quite a lot.

O51 is Call Me - The Mary Jane Girls

Right title, but wrong artist. :(

Yes she did. In fact, it's her singing with Meat Loaf on "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" - although the video shows Karla DeVito.

That's also incorrect, I'm afraid. It is a female singer, though, so you're on the right track.

N56 Question - Moody Blues

That is correct, but Red Ant already came up with the same answer before you. I see I forgot to credit him. :-
O48 She's a Brickhouse - Commodores

No it isn't, I'm afraid. Commodores have had several Top 40 hits in Holland, so they're not the OHW I'm looking for.

O56 done by the Association
O57 Don't Call Us, We'll Call You - Sugarloaf

You get full credit for those. And since I forgot to credit Red Ant for N56, I'll give you half a point for that one too.

This was the follow-up to 'Tiger Feet' (not sure whether they were keeping to a feline theme or not) and although it was successful, it wasn't a patch on the first one!

Not familiar with The Cat Crept In (was it into a crypt?)

It probably crept into a crypt, crapped and crept out again!  ;)

What do you want me to do:

I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong - I've nothing against Paul, but I do realize others might get discouraged by him "winning" time and again. Sadly, there's not much I can do about it. You just have to try harder. :P

For some reason I thought J57 was already answered.  It's 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga/Colby O'Donis

As for J62, it does sound familiar.  I probably know the artist, but the song isn't ringing any bells at the moment

058 is still driving me bonkers.  I know it, I do.  I used to listen to it all the time, but I can't remember what it is :(
I also recognize N55, but same as above.

So here's what you should've said:

J52. Artists are best known for their rehash of a 'fizzy' song. This song made little to no impact on charts. Maybe just as well they're leaving.
Goodbye Is Just Another Word - The New Seekers

J62. Another one that at least one of you oughta know. It's Dutch.
          Just Be - DJ Tiësto

N55. Italian dance act with a song that made #7 in UK. Time to go forward, darling.
Move On Baby - Cappella (2 wks, 1994)

N59. Not a hit in US, but it made #11 in UK. The singer (known simply by his 3-letter first name) hails from Cameroon, and the song is written
and produced by Michel Sanchez (Deep Forest). I've no idea what it is about, though.
          Alane - Wes (8 wks, 1997)

O53. This tune only made #36 in US and did not make UK Top 40. It's about a demonic firearm.
The American band (lead singer Cornelius Brown) also was a OHW in US.
          The Devil's Gun - CJ & Co(mpany) (#22, 1977)

O58. Italo-disco from 1984. No person in particular (calling a young woman), by recording device or tape for television.
          Somebody (Hey Girl) - Video (#6, 1984)

O59. The last chart entry ever for this singer (nicknamed Blue) who's been around since the mid-1950's. Not sure if you're invited to his club.
          Members Only - Bobby Bland (#22, 1989)

Be careful with Limewire.  If you've never used it, it can be a pain.  I remember a thread where a lot of us mentioned we had trouble with it, myself included.
