Subject: 1972 Audio Quiz [Volume 5 - The Final Batch | ALL DONE]

Written By: Henk on 08/07/11 at 1:39 pm

Finally... here it is: Volume 5 of my 1972 quizzes.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/2/17/785141/1972.jpg

This volume also contains 60 songs instead of the usual 50.

Some artists are represented twice, and the limit = OFF to start with.

Good luck and have fun! :)

Hints!
19. It's a cereal.
51. Don't mess with her toot toot, unless you wanna get trapped by a thing called love. Besides...you can't handle her!
58. They're floors, or what you tell your children before they go to sleep, and they're planning on returning to the place where they live.
59. Goes well with #60.
60. You better not get hooked on him...though there's nothing to dislike about his chanson d'amour.

I'll give you four, assuming you meant to type #25 instead of #20. I'm also being lenient re. the artist for #14.  ;)

Bonus question: any guesses on how well #14 did in the UK charts...? ::) (No bonus points, though)

#26 America - Simon and Garfunkel

Correct on the song, wrong on the artist. This happens to be a cover version by a famous (symphonic) rock band.

I hear 'Bad Side of the Moon' on the radio all the time.  Did April Wine have much (if any) success in the Netherlands?

None whatsoever! All we had was April Shower in the early 1970's.

I may miss out on a few, for the past few days my computer has been running real slow. The songs are taking forever to load

I thought Jon Anderson's voice was pretty distinguishable in this particular clipping, but maybe I was wrong.

I don't blame you for not remembering the artist.

It may sound like him, but it's not him. This is a solo effort by the front man of a group that was very popular in the 1960's.

For #19, the only artist I know who did that song were Tim Hardin, which was in the 60s, and Bobby Darin, and I thought that was 60s too. Either one correct?
(a guess is just a guess...as time goes by)

And yes. It is simply titled "Love Song", but that's okay.

Which only leaves us #51 and the artist for #19.
