Subject: whistledog's 80s Favourites

Written By: whistledog on 07/05/12 at 9:26 pm

Time for a new quiz from yours truly.  In this video are 27 clips from music videos of some great 80s songs I really enjoy.  This might seem easy, or it may be hard.  Depending on how this one goes will determine the difficulty of volume 2 lol

NOTE:  No partial answers will be given points (either you know both artist and song or you know nothing mwahahaha lol)

Some CDN content here. Nice.

#12 You can do magic – America
#13 A little respect – Erasure
#14 Out of touch – Hall & Oates

I'm not certain for #14, Some of "Hall & Oates's " songs sound the same to me.

I'll try it again when I'm home. ;)

#8 is unfortunately not correct, but you came close enough on #17 that I will give you that one :P

When It's Over is the title :)

18. "Round & Round" by Ratt.

Those two are correct, though technically, it's "(She's) Sexy & 17", but bracketed titles are usually optional :)

I actually knew that, but lots of sources (including radio stations that play it) refer to it without the bracketed words. Guess it's ok.

#11  The song is 'Calling America'  (I had to check my ELO Greatest Hits CD).  I'm always confusing the titles with prominent verse. :-\\

5. Peter Wolf - Come As You Are

19. KC & the Sunshine Band (or maybe it was just KC as a solo artist?) - Give it up?

No worries.  I do that sometimes too.  It is correct!

5. Peter Wolf - Come As You Are

19. KC & the Sunshine Band (or maybe it was just KC as a solo artist?) - Give it up?

Both correct Patty.  #19 was both actually.  When 'Give it Up' was released in 1982, North America was excluded, so KC decided to release it under his own name for the North American market in 1983.

You got some of the numbers mixed up, but I will give 3 for 3 on that as I know you know your homeland's 80s music! :)

It's ok.  When I lift the limit, you may still get a chance to answer it
