Golden Earring- Radar Love, Twilight Zone, The Vanilla Queen

Golden Earring scored a total of 46 Top 40 hits in the Netherlands from 1965 to 2005, but this song isn't one of them. In fact, I've never even heard of it.... ???

It's on 'The Continuing Story Of Radar Love'.

Side 1, Track 2- between "Radar Love" and "Candi's Going Bad".

April Wine- Crash & Burn, Big City Girls

Those were B-Sides, not hits.

April Wine only had 3 Top 40 hits in the states .. "You Could Have Been A Lady" (1972), "Roller" (1979) and "Just Between You and Me" (1981)

One of the bigger differences between me & the average music afficionados is that I don't pay attention solely to the Top Hits. In fact, I find that some of the songs I enjoy more are in fact B-Sides or "Fillers", as we in the business call them.

Besides, just because a song doesn't reach Top 10 or even Top 40 status, doesn't detract from the pure enjoyment of the song.

That is why I listed the examples I did.

You said those songs will jog memories.  B-Sides and fillers will probably only jog memories for fans of said artists

I either haven't heard of, or haven't heard the music of, half of these artists. Of those I've heard, XTC and The Who would rate 5, Yes would rate 4, Joan Jett 2, Whitesnake 2, Billy Idol 2 as well...

I admit, there are a few bands that may puzzle ppl, so here's a brief dossier:

The Tubes- Bay Area band, made it big with "She's A Beauty".
Yes- The famous British band ("Owner Of A Lonely Heart")
Y&T- Hard rock band from the '80s & '90s, first real hit was "Don't Stop Runnin'".
Styx- The famed American band, throughout the '70s, to present.
Whitesnake- The hard rock band that was famous for 2 things: Their music, & Tawny Kitaen.
Krokus- Swiss hard-rock band, made a surprisingly wicked remake of "Ballroom Blitz"- far superior to Sweet.
Tom Petty- Need I explain?
Golden Earring- The famous Dutch band, noted for "Radar Love", and "Twilight Zone".
Billy Idol/Gen. X- The hard punk icon, and the band where he started.
Oingo Boingo- Danny Elfman & his zany crew of ska/rock/punk/pop sidekicks.
Peter Gabriel- The esteemed British singer/songwritier, and his longtime core band.
XTC- A British band known for their clothing, and hard "good time" music.
The Who- 'Nuff said!
Joan Jett- The American punk rock goddess, who will ALWAYS have a fan in me!
Stakka Bo- A wonderful Swedish Europop/Euro-hip-hop group, first noted for "Here We Go Again".
Bobby Jimmy & The Critters- American comedy/parody group, made "Big Butt" & "Somebody Farted!"
April Wine- Canadian supergroup- known primarily for "Just Between You & Me".

-Hope this helps!
