New York Yankees Starting Pitcher Cory Lidle was just killed in a Plane Crash today when the plane crashed into a high rise building in New York City

I just saw him pitch last week. He used to be on the A's a few years back and even pitched in the playoffs for us. I will miss him :(

I was reading about it on Wikipedia, and I noticed this little vandalism mark. It's stupid enough when people write things like that on Bill Gates's Wikipedia entry, but this is messed up.

his wife and son were actually on a commercial flight going back home while lidle was in his own plane with his instructor. his family didn't find out about what happened until after they landed. it really stinks that his entire family had to find out about his death seeing it all over the news instead of in private.
