In what has been described as the closest Calzaghe has come to a defeat in his career, he has beaten Bernard Hopkins in a split decision verdict. This is Calzaghe's 45th win from 45 fights.

I thought it was a good fight, I thought Hopkins won the early rounds and Calzaghe taking the later.
I was surprised to see a split decision, I thought Calzaghe was the obvious winner.
I would love to see a rematch simply because of the stunt Calzaghe pulled behind Hopkins after a low
blow had him doubled over, it was completely uncalled for and unsportsmanlike.
