Well, someone has to say it: Pee standing up. Normally it doesn't bother me but if we are away from civilization, it certainly comes in handy.

You could always do a Beckham and wear a sarong  :-\\

Men are allowed not to shave their legs and underarms.  Women are generally looked on as freaky if they don't

I shave my underarms  :-[ lol.. just a bit so it's not like a forrest.. because i wear Basketball Jerseys and swim a lot and it isn't exactly nice.

Legs however.. like a horse.

Yeah maybe a sarong would be an idea... just need to pull a sapling out of the ground and face it.. i could be him

i envy the multi-tasking woman seem to have. men do have one-track minds...

I read somewhere that this is traceable to our Stone Age, hunter-gatherer past. The men would be out all day, single mindedly in pursuit of one thing, i.e. a kill to bring back to the camp. The women would be back in the camp, gathering berries, looking after the kids, keeping the fire going, gathering wood, getting the water, fighting off predators, skinning the animals, mending the clothes, etc. etc.

As soon as I read that I thought of this joke that was sent to me a long time ago....

I'm sure many have read this before, but if you haven't read it, and if you have, read it again, its great!!!
It takes care of penis envy for me!! ;D

THE INTERNET IS LIKE A PENIS

It can be up or down.  It's more fun when it's up, but hard to get any real work done.

If you don't apply protective measures, it can spread viruses.

It has no brain of its own.  Instead, it uses and confuses yours.

We attach an importance to it that is far greater than its actual
size and influence we warrant.

If you're not careful, it can get you in big trouble.

Some people have it, some don't.

People who have it would be devastated if it were cut off - and
they think those who don't have it, want it.

People who don't have it may agree that it's a nifty toy, but think it's not worth the fuss made about it.

Once you've started playing with it, it's hard to stop.

Some people would play with it all day if they didn't have to work.  Of course, some people do anyway.

Yup-Women are "sluts" and men are "studs". Never made any sense to me. I heard a joke (from the male point of view)-a slut is a woman who will go to bed with anyone, a b!tch is a woman who will go to bed with anyone but YOU!

Women.. you guys have it easy.. is it you that has to put the christmas lights up on the outside of the house? Is it you that has to go down in the Basement, or up to the attic to get the christmas decorations? Is it you that has to go get a tree.. put it in the car, drag it home and set it up?

I appreciate that you usually get to hoover the needles up (which i see as unfair, the hoover is a neat toy) but doing all the Monkey work isn't fun.

Okay, I don't get all this "we can't do this" stuff. Aside from the physical differences, there's no law that says men and women can't do the same things.

Examples:
1. Men can definitely shave their legs and armpits if they want to (and I suggest they should, anyway - looks nicer). They don't have to wear trousers - look at all those Scottish kilts! Look at skirt-wearing male models on the catwalk!

2. Men don't have to do outside work, geez. Hire a labourer to do it for you. Ditto for women with housework. And of course, house-husbands are becoming more common, just as women in the workforce are.

3. Women can, technically, go to the toilet standing up. It's just a little messy. But in any place without access to a toilet (ie, in the bush) that's hardly going to matter.

4. Women don't have to have periods. It's the 21st century - you can get medication for it. I've had an injection that stops my period for ten months at a time, and it's worth it. No more pain. :) See?

With all this in mind, I can't say I envy men at all. They're just very different.

Subject: Re: Is there anything you envy about the opposite sex?

Written By: Tanya1976 on 12/12/04 at 1:17 pm

Yeah, we have to have periods or else there wouldn't be a need for injection. That's something that does make us physically different. We may not have to put up with it every month, but if we don't take medication to do so, we have to have it. Women don't have to have babies, but who else is going to have them?

I know we are getting off the topic a bit but I read Errol Flynn's autobiography. He stated that as a kid, he discovered that if you feed a duck a fatty peice of pork, it would go right through them. So he tied a string onto a piece of pork and fed it to a bunch of ducks and made a "duck bracelet" out of them. I was cracking up when I read that.

Sorry, back to topic.

Well . . . That would take a lot of stimulus.  ;D

If a bloke isn't in the mood, it can be difficult sometimes.

Feminine hygiene products.

You could fill a dump truck with all the products hawked to women.  Sprays, gels, creams, powders, plasmas, mini, maxi, heavy, light flow, overnight, all-day, all-month, scented, unscented, time release, odor absorbing, odor masking, disposable, archiveable, portable, permanently instaled.  Wrapped in paper, plastic, nylon, cardboard, and probably titanium.  With an ever-growing list of features like adhesive strips, wings, hood scoops, mudflaps, and propellers.  Products designed to make one gorgeous, clean, fresh, confident, unwrinkled, and impoverished.

What a racket.  I'm amazed that a comparable industry for men has not emerged.  ;D

thats a bit of a misconception. there are times when we can't get in the mood....like after a huge meal, after working a 16 hour shift or having one too many beers (yes, even the time honoured ice breaker of intoxication, even then we can be too drunk to ****)

I envy the fact that (at least in my case) my husband gets things handed to him (free tickets to football/baseball games, invitations to golf outings, etc) and he always ends up going...but on the other hand, I usually never do anything because I am the one that is always worried about spending any money that we don't have, etc. :-\\

gosh, I hate that so bad!  It's like they are only concerned with their needs.  I am lucky to get to go out once every blue moon, but he goes to high school football games with my dad, baseball games with some friends, he plays golf usually every other week....Hmmm...I think I need to take up a hobby. ???

I hate that when a guy does something "rugged" or "manly" it's commonplace..but when I do it (and my hobbies and work in the past have all been traditionally for men) it was 'oohh...impressive!"

Women.. you guys have it easy.. is it you that has to put the christmas lights up on the outside of the house? Is it you that has to go down in the Basement, or up to the attic to get the christmas decorations? Is it you that has to go get a tree.. put it in the car, drag it home and set it up?

Actually yes, I do all of those things...  :P

I envy the fact that men can take their shirts off any old time, wether they have a beer belly or a six pack.  I've always wished I could do that, especially when it's 100 degrees out.

I envy that men don't really need to shave everyday all the time, if they're not up to it. But, I still gotta shave my underarms everyday, and my legs, if need be.

Well, someone has to say it: Pee standing up. Normally it doesn't bother me but if we are away from civilization, it certainly comes in handy.

Very true, a "leg-beard" will never be in style or acceptable among society.  If you're a woman and you have 1/8" hair on your legs it's time to shave again, which sucks.

I also envy the ability to look stylish in baggy clothes.

Also, to the guys who want boobs.....they are just flesh wrapped in skin, GET OVER IT.

I don't mind having to shave.  I enjoy it.....it makes me feel better about myself when my legs are nice and smooth.  If I haven't shaved in a couple of days, I don't feel attractive and then I don't want to leave my house without pants on instead of shorts/a skirt or something.

You've all addressed this in various ways but, generally, guys can be considered cool and attractive just by waking up, slipping on some jeans, splashing some water on their faces and running their fingers through their hair.  Women on the other hand have many more expectations in our culture in regards to looks and fashion.

Not necessarily. I for one require quite a bit of maintainence. Nail clipping, shaving, eyebrows(I'm cursed with a unibrow if I don't), brushing, flossing, deodorant, cologne.. Also I have to use this cream to keep my face clear, not only to keep clear skin but to keep sores off my face due to psoriasis.

And my hair! Shampooing, conditioning(both in the shower and overnight), brushing and finally I have to keep my scalp well-scrubbed all the time or my scalp crusts over, due to my psoriasis.

Also if you are a man cursed with backhair and refuse to live with it, thats a pain to deal with.

Anyway, the only two things I can think of that I envy in the opposite sex are social, not physical. One is that traditionally they don't have to be as assertive(I'm pretty shy), and also some women, and I'm not saying all and these days it seems to be an increasing minority- but some, don't REALY have to worry about taking care of themselves financially.

I envy that in other women.  I'd like to be more social and not have to worry about working for a living, but alas.....was not to be.

Oh yeah, also, if you're a woman and you do have some kind of facial hair, you can't just shave it.  It must either be plucked or waxed.

I don't like cavemen. HOWEVER...if i like you, I will never ever ever hold something against you.  You could be purple with long hair and scales and have "Jets Rule" scarred into your forehead and work in a slaughterhouse and i'll still like you.

Quite a lot but it boils down to at least these three things:

- How they can dress even in more formal situations and how they can express themselves overall.
- How they can wear their hair.- Their appeal I guess.

I do have personal issues regarding gender though and I hope I can get it resolved soon. I tend to think especially attractive women are simply just cooler than attractive men.

Yeah but being dressed down and super casual as a woman equals slovenly or sloppy to some. It's not fun having to put forth more effort before you go out.

I can see why but I feel like in many cases for me, expressing myself in a more traditionally masculine manner either makes me feel uncomfortable or uninspired or both. I wish to be less seen as my assigned gender at birth but I don't think I live among accepting people or far enough away from said intolerant people.

multiple orgasms. i so much envy that from woman... ;)

Guys can do that too. It’s just a little more difficult.

And pregnant or not, I do love the looks of a tummy on a gal.

One thing I do envy is the multiple options for birth control that women have. Women’s bodies are so much more complicated and there are so many choices out there. Yet guys are so simple and they can’t come up with anything but a vasectomy. I think it’s a conspiracy.
