I constantly clean crevices of things: the hair dryer lint, the vent in the bathroom, Vaughn's ears (lol), my husband's belly button lint (TMI). I can't stand to see dirt or any foreign object where it shouldn't be. I hate to see dirty ears, and I constantly clean mine and Vaughns. If I could reach over and clean my husband's ears, I probably would..but thankfully, he does that on his own. HAHA. My poor cats...I am always coming at them with Q-tips, ready to clean their ears and noses out.

Me too.  I was in a staff meeting a couple of months ago with my boss who is bald.  He had a big old white head on top of his head.  It was soooo distracting. ;D

guilty as charged here too! I'm also obsessive about the skin around my fingernails....particularly my thumbs...if its dry and flaky, I'll pick at it to make it "smooth", which inevitably makes it rougher and necessitates more picking, and hence the vicious cycle begins. My psych says I'm "borderline body dysmorphic"

Reading all this now for the first time, it strikes me that PICKING is a VERY common thing for people. One which I share. And why does it have to be disgusting? Don't all the primates groom? Maybe it's part of attempting to stay clean and disease free? Let's make a decree that it's not disgusting, lol!!  EXCEPT if we eat ... it.  Which I grew out of, but it really went on rather too long! *blush*

Nothing wrong with the hover method.  I do it myself.  The only time I have a problem is when someone has used it, made a mess and not cleaned it up.  8-P

A REALLY BAD HABIT is when I really really have a hard time is explaining myself when I DON'T use my brain which is frequent IRL and online and end up sounding like a idiot and mistaken for a different person or confusing someone else. I have very bad ADHD which doesn't help (good thing I have a job that involves moving around a lot), one good example would be a couple years ago I had a discussion about gender politics with my father it didn't end well, I hasn't having a hard time explain myself and ended up sounding like a crazy/idiot who didn't know what they were talking about even though I knew in my head (at the time) what to say and later on when I wanted to explain what I was really saying (but with more logical reasoning/ common sense this time) it was too damn late and he didn't want to hear it. (and yes I'm really 23 NOT 21, saying I'm 21 is my "failed" attempted at trying to be "anonymous😂😜" my ignorance kind of blew that cover)
