Subject: Who here takes part in any charities?

Maybe there are similar topics on here, I don't really know. So I'd like to update!
I enjoy helping others. And this isn't exactly a charity. But, I'm happy to say I have been donating to St Jude's Children's Hospital for over two years now. I also donate to Unicef for needy kids and families around the world. Sometimes I donate clothing and other items that people need. Also, around the holidays I always do my part with the food banks! :)

I donate monthly to Heifer International, Vermont FoodBank, & our local Humane Society. I also donate to other organizations but not on a regular basis. I used to run our local food shelf but I quit because of the b.s. Carlos will tell you that they pushed me out.

I have donated items to the Salvation Army and the Goodwill, from time to time. If we have an item in our household that we no longer need, and it's in usable condition, then we donate it.
There is also the St. Vincent De Paul Society, which works to help the poor/needy. At the first weekend of every month, our church has a food drive, in which churchgoers can bring nonperishable food items to donate. Such items are placed in a special bin, and they are given to the SVDP Society... which also works with Catholic Charities (another organization/charity that I have been involved with; in fact, I volunteered for them for 5 1/2 years, mainly helping to keep track of donations they take in).
Oh...and I also have donated to the Humane Society. When our dog Chloe passed away almost eight years ago, we donated her accessories (leash, dish, etc.) to the local Humane Society branch.
