I am usually very, very busy. Then there are days when there is absolutely nothing to do. On those days, I like to make video clips of myself doing everyday things. Here is one video of myself brushing my hair.

When things are in disarray, I like to tidy them up.

Sometimes I do a bit of house chores or maybe just use the computer for a while.

I was told this story but my granddaughter who was about 8 at the time went to a zoo. There were a bunch of people in front of some animal-I think it was a bear and she couldn't get a good look at it. She said in a loud whisper, "Sometimes they get out." All the people in front of the cage backed off and she just went right up to see.  ;D ;D

Keep in mind, there was a functioning zoo on his Neverland property. So it's not like the chimp was a pet in the sense that a dog or a cat is a pet. Maybe subconsciously Jessica was remembering the Michael Jackson situation when she said monkeys (and/or chimps) "make good pets".

I'm in the middle of reading a series of books called "Vermont Wild" which is about the adventures and misadventures of Fish & game wardens. This morning, I read a chapter where they had to pick up three monkeys that someone was keeping as pets (which is illegal). To keep them away from everyone until they could get to their new home in Ohio, they were locked in the armory-in their cages. That didn't matter because those monkeys were able to move their cages and managed to get a hold of a few guns and ammo. One almost was able to load a Winchester.  :o :o They also commented on the smell which-from the author's description, made it hard to keep down their lunch.

Well, I look at things online that I'm interested in when I'm bored.  I just happened to be on NKOTB'S online store and I found a t-shirt that I liked and put it in the ordering basket, then I found a t-shirt that I thought my friend would like so I put it in the basket and thought that would be good enough to start with and then I found a phone/credit card/money pouch and I ordered that too.
Granted if I hadn't been so overtired and bored I never would have done it in the first place.  What I didn't realize is that the exchange rate between US and Canadian money is a bit different.  Then there's shipping and handling, taxes, and there was a $27 customs fee on top of that so I had to pay that when I got to the postal outlet.
So, it was close to $200 before I was able to get my package out of the postal outlet.
My mom asked me yesterday if what I did was worth $200 and I said yes! My mom has been saying that it was a good learning experience for me.  I said "I've learned my lesson.  I'm never doing this again." My mom said that if she had known that I was doing this at the time she would have talked me out of it.  I learned not to do things online when I'm overtired and bored and that I should go to bed.  :) But honestly, I'm glad that I got my stuff because it means that I get to show it off with a lot of pride and I don't have to worry about people hearing people, especially boys, saying "NEW KIDS SUCK!"!

The things I usually do:

-Read. I try to read 10 books a year. I just finished book #10 for the year. YAY!!! (So I can stop now. lol. Naw. I will see how many I can read this year.)

-Write. I keep a journal and even though I don't write it in every day, I do write in it a few times a weeks-sometimes more.

-Read-old journal entries.

-Write stories (which I haven't done for a while but I really need to get back into it).

-Create videos. Most of my videos are of my life. I create Year In Review videos. Depending on the year, there could be several. I don't like them to be too long. I also create videos from trips. I created 7 videos from our cross country trip last year. I also created a video called "My Story" that starts with my birth announcement. The problem with this is that I am never satisfied with it and right now I am working on version #4.  :-\\  But, ALL of these videos are for me. I think there have been only 2 other people who have seen them (Carlos & his sister).

-Shop on-line. That is not the same a "Buy on-line." I have been shopping for clothes for what seems like forever. I'm also looking for other things that I have been looking forever.

Doing any of those things, I am never bored.
