Subject: TV Movie Ratings - One Star, Two Stars, Three Stars, Four Stars

Written By: midnite on 08/05/08 at 9:23 pm

What do you think about the accuracy of movie ratings by the movie authorities.  The best films are rated with four stars, and the worst movies have one or zero stars.

Personally, I think they seem pretty accurate.  Most Three-Star movies I can watch and oftentimes enjoy.

Are any four-star movies undeserving?

Alot of the star ratings I see in the local TV guide here work just like the Academy Awards ... all the crappy, boring films get highest praise, and all the good ones get panned.  They had the 'Bourne Identity' on TV, and the local guide here gave it 1 out of 4 stars

I never usually pay attention to ratings because they piss me off too much LOL

Borne Identity - One Star.  Come on!  What is going on up there with the Canadian Rating Academy.  LOL

Right now on Showtime there are two three star movies - Gone Baby Gone and Grindhouse.  I think Gone Baby Gone was decent and deserves the three stars.  However, I didnt think Grindhouse was that great.
