Subject: Confession time!

Written By: JamieMcBain on 10/22/10 at 8:13 pm

Is there any films out there, that everyone loves, that you don't like that much?

???

I am going to duck and cover, but here goes my top 10.....

10)  Gone With The Wind

  9)  William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

  8)  Shakespeare In Love

  7)  Moulin Rouge

  6)  The Blair Witch Project

  5)  Mullholland Drive

  4)  Twilight

  3)  The Wizard Of Oz

  2)  Evita

  1)  The Sound Of Music

And before you ask, "Did you even bother to sit through, and watch these films?

Yes, I did.

Is that The Bodyguard or My Bodyguard?  'Cos you gotta love Chris Makepeace and Matt Dillon!

For me?  The three R's:

"Reds"
"Room With A View"
"Rocky Horror Picture Show"

Another is "All the President's Men" on the grounds that it is devastatingly boring.

Reminder to enumerated list makers:

eight + parenthesis = cool smilie

8  ) = 8)

I wouldn't have been able to sit through it, at all, without Mary McDonnell, who's sooo easy on the eyes... ;)

The Goodfellas.

Pulp Fiction (though I didn't watch all of this - it was on tv late at night and maybe I was too tired at the time)

...and G 3 and Rocky(whichever) but I could watch Godfather 1 & 2 over and over, and I have.

Side note I visited Fredos(John Cazale) grave yesterday.  He is buried in a cemetery about a mile from me.

David Lynch's "Wild At Heart" (1990)

Disappointed it wasn't like "Blue Velvet" (1986).  Unlike BV, WAH had no sympathetic characters.  Sailor and Lula (Nicholas Cage/Laura Dern) were supposed to be the "good guys," but they were so sleazy I couldn't care less what happened to them.  The only redeeming characters in the film are:
Bobby Peru (Willem Dafoe) for his grotesqueness.
Johnnie Farragut (Harry Dean Stanton) for being Harry Dean Stanton.

and

Dell (Crispin Glover) for "I'm making my lunch!!!"
;D

Believe it or not, I actually like "Titanic."  I don't get misty for the romance of Jack and Rose, but I enjoy watching the whole process of the ship sinking.

I didn't care much for Wild At Heart, either.

And as a Quentin Tarentino fan, I thought that Jackie Brown, was kind of meh.
