Subject: Coziest TV Show Set (House, Apt, etc)

Written By: quirky_cat_girl on 05/29/12 at 10:27 pm

Mine would probably have to be The Brady Bunch set, I always dreamed of living in that house! I loved the family room, and the kid's bedrooms with the adjoining bathroom.

I also loved Mama's Family house. Even though it was tacky, it was so homey and cozy. :D

The Hogan Family's house.  They had a couch in their kitchen.  How awesome was that!

Mr Rogers house for fun. I always wanted a trolley that could go around the room. And a stoplight in the house.

For views, I liked the Golden Girls tropical view from their window.

Overall, The Cosby Show set. I loved the look and setup of their home.

I've always liked the set of Sesame Street, and I know this probably sounds weird but one of my favorite things about it was the city noise that was always present in the background, it was like soothing white noise to me.

Fred Sanford's house looks like it would be a cool place to hang out and play cards or watch football.  8)

I'd love to live in Mr.Rogers house, It would be so cool to have so many sweaters and suits, say hello to my neighbor and wait for Mr.McFeely to stop by and give me the mail. ;D

I'd choose Joey's and Chandler's apartment from "Friends" (even though I'm not a fan of the show, their apt looked very "guy friendly").

The Petrie's place from The Dick Van Dyke Show alway held a fascination for me, very 60's-ish, it looked welcoming, I wouldn't mind living there (in the 60's time period, mind you)...well as long as you got rid of that damn ottoman in the middle of the damn room. ::)

Gabe Kotter's apt in Brooklyn, though very small (looked like a efficiency/studio apt), looked warm and inviting, and VERY 70's, again wouldn't mind living there as long as they put a lock on the window to keep the sweathogs from just letting themselves in from the fire escape...which is bizarre in that they had a dozen or so locks on the front door, but never locked the window. ::)

RoseAnne's house always had friends and family stopping in and some kind of quirky detail that I liked.

Silver Spoons mansion with the train and video games.

Love Addams family and Munster houses cause I'm weird like that.

I know what you mean about the Roseanne house. It was very worn in, and comfy!

"The Cosby show" has a neat set. "Fresh Prince" too. I'd like to live in either house.

It's like you were saying about watching some TV at Fred Sanford's house...the tube always blew when Fred and Grady were just about to watch Godzilla vs. The Creature that Ate El Segundo!

I like the household setting from The Golden Girls. There's something about the "odd couple" setting that interests me. Also, given that it's four old ladies, each with distinct personalities and lifestyles, living together, it makes me feel cozy in the same way one would feel if they were visiting their grandparents, like I'm in the house with them.

If you are referring to the pilot episode then no.  If you mean the house used in the other 2000 episodes, then yes

Not TV, but movie.  In "Play Misty For Me" Clint Eastwoods apartment had a stream running through it with rocks and plants and stuff.

If we are going with movies, I'd have to mention Gene Wilder's (Dr. Frankensteen) from Young Frankenstein.  I love the scene with the hidden laboratory behind the swinging bookcase.

Here's a little fun fact about the Sesame Street set. The same exact apartment front set was used for the TV show, 227.

I loved the Charles in Charge house... a huge multilevel living area, huge windows, a swooping staircase in the middle (with long landing on first floor) and then you have the big open plan kitchen (again with huge windows). The first few minutes cover most of the set...
