Subject: What is the most "ideal" age to be?

Written By: Emman on 09/15/12 at 5:55 pm

What age do you think most people would prefer, to me it seems a lot of children and teenagers want to be young adults and middle age/older adults also desire young adulthood, I would narrow it down to about 25 years old, the peak of strength and maturation of the frontal lobes(although the peak in strength plateaus for a decade).

I think most people would desire to be around 25-30.

It can all depend on what lifestyle you are talking about too. If you live in a friendly community with a laid back quite carefree lifestyle sometime in your 20s (20-29) so 25 sounds about right.

75% of me wants to be in that "25 to 35" range.
25% of me wants to be in that "8-12-years-old" range.

It's a constant battle...

Mathematically, I should come to an agreement and settle for the approx "20-29" range, but it doesn't work that way.

Well true, the 8-12 range is awesome too.

If I could, I wish I could have stayed in my 20s forever! So I'm going to say 20-29 is the ideal age for me right now. However, I am also loving my early 30s too so I might just change my mind later lol.

I'm actually thinking plainly living in 1990-2004 no matter what age.

TRUE!

Wow, how did they figure out that the best music, television and movies came out when I was 12? I always knew the people liking the 60s and 70s the most were wrong, it was when I was 12. I guess they are good scientists :)

Definetly NOT 25. At least when you are studying or have studied that's just the age when you are starting to build-up your life. That's not always easy. You probably don't have a lot of money and you are still unsure about your future.

I'd say either your teenage/early adult years 13-20 or 30's are the ideal age. Still not too young and not too old.

Any age, as long as you are life well and still breathing.

I think the late teens and the 20's are overrated. I was my happiest at 13-15.

I would say 30-40. That is when you are old enough to know better and young enough to learn.

18 is kind of bad, too if you want to be an adult but nobody takes you seriously.

That's happening well into the 20's aswell. Probably around 25/26 it's coming to an end - depends highly how mature you look.

That's partly why I like age 4. Very similar criteria, but you are typically at an age of better understanding of things and more physically developed.

Probably your 40s actually. Hopefully, you have a lot of money, your kids are starting to grow up, you might be having your first grandkids yet you're still nowhere close to being old yet and have your health. I think the teen years are overrated mine sucked, and 20s is quite a bit better but it can still be kind of a drag being constantly broke and busy with university and/or dead-end jobs.

How about age 40? That's a pretty good age. It's still young and you're old enough to understand things.

You don't have to be 65 to apply for SSI & SSD. Neither one is age sensitive. I applied for SSD a couple of times and I am not even close to being 65. And if I am not mistaken, you are also on SSD.

I'm 36 for a few more months  :(  so I would give anything to be younger. Looking back, I would have done so many things differently.

As my terms of an ideal age, I would say 25-29. Many think the early 20s, but I was so awkward and clueless during those years. From 25-29 you're still young enough to explore, travel, be at your peak with your looks, and most likely have optimal health. Yet at this age, you make less stupid decisions, and the older crowd will take you more seriously.

Old enough to know what's right,
But young enough not to choose it,
Noble enough to win the world,
But weak enough to lose it.

25-29 was my ideal age. Those were simply my best times. As much as I look back with fond memories I know it's over so I am focusing on my 30s now. I am 32, and so far the 30s are good to me...different...but good.
