'Awesome' I've seen literature and newspapers online using the word as far back as the late 19th century, and it continued to steadily grow in usage until its peak in the 1980s, where it has held steadily ever since with a slight decline.
'Douchebag/douche' It surfaced around the 1980s, though it didn't become common until around 2005.
'That's gay' Originally, gay meant happy, and was common in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Probably during the 1970s is when "gay" as in homosexual started to take off, and took another jump in popularity in the 1990s.
'That's retarded' I was offended by this term in school during the '90s. It probably became popular sometime in the late '80s.
