I watched the new movies Anchorman 2 and American Hustle. While watching I kept thinking, "What's wrong with you people?"  People who are 60 or older now. Who hit the fashion 'off switch' in the late 60s to make people think bellbottoms, big hair, polyester and shoulder pads were tasteful? 8-P

I like two fashions from that time:

Bell bottoms - The bigger the bell the better.  ;)  Except I prefer them mid rise waist instead of high. 
Platform shoes - I prefer them to stilettos!

I love the look of the 70's, guys who looked pimping with the sporty afros, Hawaiian shirts, colored pants and the dress shoes.

In my opinion, the '70s was the worst fashion period for men (those hairstyles and mustaches especially irk me). Women's fashion in the '70s was okay, though. The '80s was the worst period for fashion, period.

I was thinking more of those so-called "porn-staches," and those horrid '80s mullets combined with mustaches are just cringe-inducing.

Handlebar mustaches look nasty to me, but I don't like mustaches, anyway.

What the 70s/80s lacked in fashion, it made up for in music!

I find 70s and 80s fashion to be adorably quirky, and I much prefer it to the fashion of today.
People who hate 70s fashion are the same people that think all 70s music is just disco. Th early-to-mid 70s was an amazing time for music, and the fashion was great too. I love the southwestern craze that came around that time. The 80s fashion kind of took 50s/60s preppy fashions and a made them look more futuristic and bold, which I think is awesome.

I think guys spent a lot of money trying to look cool with the afros and the handlebar mustaches. The white guys wearing sporting them too.

I don't really have much of an opinion about 70's fashion. As far as 80's fashion goes, I think some of the mainstream fashions were at times silly, but in the subcultures, there were a lot of interesting fashions. I love the gothic fashion (which originated in the very late 70's and came into form in the 80's) of the 80's, for example.

I wasn't born in the 70s, but the thing about it I didn't get was throwing like every pattern God ever made together in an outfit. Like a plaid shirt, dotted pants, white shoes and a striped scarf. And I just never liked the Afro, I like getting a comb through my hair because I know the pain Ive had combing through kinks.

What I DO like about the 70s was near the end of the decade, glam had made a comback, after the whole Women's Lib movement. The disco look bled off into the 80s and I live for the 80s. Now I mean looks like Cyndi Lauper bleeding Crayolas look is too much, but I liked how the glam look held strong, and kind of paired with the power woman of the decade.

That's Iman in the 80s. All class, with no ass sticking out. Back then I saw where a lady could have on the slouchiest outfit and still be cool and look nice. Now it's all skin, even the kids. I mean yeah every decade had the "fast" people, but it's more prevelant with each passing year.

I like a lot of women's fashion and hairstyles from the late '70s, especially 1979. Many of the looks were so classy and sophisticated.

Thanks to my God-given gift of creating fabulous hairstyles, and all my years of attending beauty school, I was able to do this asymmetric updo on myself this morning! It looked absolutely gorgeous, I even went ahead and asked someone to take my picture. Now I'm gawking at it, happy I got to wear this vintage hairstyle for a day. :)
